Barnsley - Nottingham Forest
I would have liked to see a bit more intent in our play, but to do that you have got to be able to find a player in the same coloured shirt.

Not much today got me thinking we have progressed during the break. But we will see

It would be nice if someone could tell the players that they are allowed to play well against average opposition and not simply leave that for when they play the 'bigger'sides.

Not many teams get promoted without scoring at least 70+ goals a season. Never thought we looked like that last year. Needs to change his style this year.

If you want a change in style then you want a new coach. They don’t suddenly change styles.

For me it doesn’t make sense to change the approach when we had our best finish for 10 years last season. The problem was the back ups, which hopefully has been addressed in this window.

I agree Jsmed, midfield is where we were lacking. Colback’ s composure should make a difference.

Midfield 3 of Colback, Sow and Freeman looks good on paper, especially away from home.

I agree. I liked the look of Freeman in his brief time on the pitch today.

Yeah,  :D   that's why I said it.  :P
I'm happy to give him ten games and be in the play-off positions.
But if the end of season form continues he won't be around for much longer.
EM will not accept mid-table.

That’s how it works. Coaches are judged on results.

However, if he does get sacked I doubt a result in the Carabao cup will form part of the conversation.

10 games.  I guess that's what he's got.

If Forest aint scoring goals and keep pouring out abject Barnie displays and sit out the top 6?

He's a 'dead man.'

For me it was the perfect result.

We are out of this Tinpot cut and so will not suffer severe fixture congestion.

We start with a poor performance - nothing better for reminding everyone of the task ahead. It is often the eventual winners who start poorly and those what start well that fade away.

Minds will be focussed now, wake up call done.......onwards to QPR.
