Martin o Neill

Let's put it this way, I won't be running into Nottingham Forest again. That was bizarre. They told me they would do things in the summer but I didn't make it that far

Had heard some of Martin's ex teammates feel the same backing him.

I think football has changed and we have a continental structure that doesn’t rely so much on a ‘manager’.
Medium long term it should make us more stable.

Martin is still expecting an old fashioned club structure. He’ll be lucky to find it anywhere now.

Martin O’Neill was yesterdays man a decade ago.

Was treated appallingly. Embarrassing by the club

Totally. I have no idea why they employed him in the first place.

Why?

Because he was a club legend who deserved to be treated in a more respectful way, not jettisoned out and his replacement named 10 minutes later.

I can't see why that is embarrassing by the club. He was employed by the club and it didn't work out so he was sacked by the club. It happens all the time everywhere. That's the nature of being a manager and that is the nature of football.

The only mistake the Club made was appointing him in the first place. The modern game has gone past his methods.
