More talks next week when EM arrives in town.

It's not over yet.

Why wouldn't he want to stay?

Watford job maybe? Or perhaps with the pandemic situation might be difficult to see his family as much maybe?

Perhaps other job offers, perhaps misses his family in France, perhaps a breakdown with the recruitment team, perhaps mentally drained and feels he can't take the club any further, perhaps wants assurances over transfers that he can't be given.

I think that's enough  :)

I understand. I thought you might have some inside information.

Radio Nottingham - usually so conservative - have just ‘announced’ on Facebook that Sabri is to continue.

The season starts in a little over a month. We have to wait another week hefore EM makes his mind up? It's the same old dithering approach that annoys me.

This could have been resolved days after the capitulation. You either come out with a defiant back him and get on with the transfer dealings. Or sack him and let the new man put his stamp on the team.

I don't want to sound too negative but it's about him he put his focus on his second team instead of his first.

Lets hope he can get EM to back him up more efficiently now in the transfer market!

At least we will be carrying some stability into the new season!

Sniffer - you think this is being engineered so that Sabri quits rather than sacking to keep fans off the clubs back?

It's a big season for the club.

After the way we finished the 2nd half of the season we need huge recruitment.

Not really mate. Just that more talks are set to take place next week. I am just not as convinced as some that this is all done and dusted and that Sabri is staying. I would be happy for him to stay though. For now I remain sceptical.

I hope they are more about -what do you need rather - than this is what you’re getting!
I also think the ffp thing is really a big waste of time - clubs that cheated with stadium sales have got away with it, clubs coming down have millions more than us, there is nothing fair about it.

This was a concern I just had.

I was delighted to see the tweet from Tails this morning & after the despair of the last week, was just so happy to see us sticking with the manager.

However since then my cynical side kicked into gear & I got to thinking about whether this was a way of the club looking like the good guys if Sabri does go.

Just hope he does stay, he’s happy & we sort out recruitment out.

Big few weeks ahead…

Taylor does allude to the mentally drained bit in his article:

"There will be further talks held with Lamouchi over the coming days, with the club keen to assess where the former Rennes and Ivory Coast head coach is himself, mentally. The 48-year-old was left shell-shocked by his side’s capitulation."
