Agree ^ but as squad players not in the 'team' except for Cohen. I wouldn't replace Grabban with Earnshaw for example nor would I replace Watson with Mckenna.

Dunno Sniff. Earnshaw and Mckenna were pretty decent and were a lot of what we were about.

Cohen would be in todays team, Earnshaw on bench. McGoldrick of course starts in prem at the moment so assume he gets in somewhere. Morgan has a premier league winners medal to his name now. Gunter and Mcleary would both make the squad.
I would have Majewski in there too but he wouldnt get anywhere near a Sabri team.

Bloody hell. How did Billy get that lot to Play Off position?  Shame he was so toxic. You would have to say he pulled more out of McGugan than anyone else ever managed, despite his talent. Only really Earnie, Wes and Cohen would add anything now. Obviously  McCleary was raw back then.

Edit: Had to go back and remind myself how did it. Bertrand and Konchesky played over 30 games between them at LB. Moussi, Blackstock and Wilson sll played but were injured. Aaron Rsmsay played 5 games and Kris Boyd notched 6 in 8 starts. Funny how the details of a season disappear. McGugan was top scorer with 13! Earnshaw scored 9 in 27 starts, Dele Adebola came off the bench 25 times! Started only 4 scored 2 total. Crap squad, but seriously good loans!

Adebola sub is what we're missing this season.

Im not sure if you were joking Pap but actually this is spot on. Billy brought on big Dele upfront for the last 10 mins to see out 1-0 wins. It almost always worked.
A big experienced target man upfront to hold the ball up. We dont have one in the squad of course but in my opinion it is better than bringing on another defender.

Yep, thats what I mean!

Great signing was Dele.

Our loan signings haven’t been good enough. This is where you can transform a squad. Swansea did with Gallagher and Brewster. That is the level we should be going for- too youngsters from top 6 prem clubs.

We did loan 2 youngsters from top 6 clubs.

Unfortunately they were Muric and Mir.

Just placed a safety bet on Forest to finish outside the play offs on Sky Bet - 25/1

Thanks to Sausage Roll for the heads up.
