Ex red Jamie Mackie is off to Wembley with Oxford.

Just noticed that another ex Red Barrie McKay is playing in the other semi for Fleetwood.

Fleetwood lost 6.3 on aggregate, too much to do from the first leg, they were hurt bad

Just read that for the first time in 7 years we've officially finished above Derby

That shows how S**t we were before Sabri and EM arrived arrived.

Tonight we could seal our place in the play offs and it's only 3 years ago that we managed to stay up on the last day of the season.

The team from the first leg of the playoff semi vs Swansea in 2011 was:

  • 01 Camp

  • 04 Chambers

  • 05 Morganyellow card

  • 16 Gunteryellow card

  • 27 Moloney

  • 07 Anderson

  • 08 McGuganyellow card

  • 15 Cohen

  • 18 McKenna (McCleary 72)

  • 10 Earnshaw (Tyson 71)

  • 22 Boyd (Tudgay 77)
Substitutes
  • 21 Smith,

  • 33 Lynch,

  • 28 Majewski,

  • 11 Tyson,

  • 12 McCleary,

  • 17 McGoldrick,

  • 20 Tudgay

Cohen would be in todays team, Earnshaw on bench. McGoldrick of course starts in prem at the moment so assume he gets in somewhere. Morgan has a premier league winners medal to his name now. Gunter and Mcleary would both make the squad.
I would have Majewski in there too but he wouldnt get anywhere near a Sabri team.

We have every chance of winning the play offs if we play to our best.

SoW being back is a great talisman.

Not many for me.

Going on the time they spent at Forest and not what they acheived elsewhere I would probably only go with Cohen.

Hadn’t realised the team then was - on paper at least - was nowhere near as strong as I perceived it to be at that time.

Billy made it what it was though. Same with Sabri this year. Both teams were/are greater than the sum of their parts.

Morgan would get in now, he was good for us. Sabri would love mckenna too, Cohen obviously would be ideal in a Sabri team too. Think you'd find a place for earnshaw too.

Don't remember Moloney being in the team! We did have an average team that year, the first Billy playoff team was way better
