Derby - Nottingham Forest

Too nervous now. In my head Rooney has been built up to be like Messi at his peak, that kid Sibley is like an 18 year old Michael Owen.....breathe........relax.........

Silva is key today as he will need to be buzzing around Rooney when he looks to pick the ball up deep.

Nervous? Not slept much? Happy D€rby day!!!!

WE ALL HATE RAMS AND RAMS AND RAMS.....

We need to remember this is not Wayne Rooney of 10 years ago. There is a reason why he doesn't play in the PL.

Let them worry about us.

To my shame, I watched 1st half of them vs Preston, they have set up in such a way that Rooney plays positionally similar to Ben Watson, he gets alot of the ball in space and rarely gives it away, with a fair few diagonal balls, some of which cut open defence. As he shuffles further up the pitch though he plays a lot of Carvalho type first time passes.  He can still head it and shoot. His movement is generally crap and he can't win a tackle unless its 70/30 in his favour, but the rest of their midfield is very energetic and young....

This is going to be a nerve wracking game. Is it too much for me to ask us to score a couple of early goals to settle those nerves?

Opportunity for Yates today ( if starting ) to make a name for himself against Rooney. 4th game in 2 weeks for 34 year old Rooney.

And 3rd game in 6 days for 35 year old Watson. He will be fine though but so will be Rooney.

Its more Yates I worry about, giving away soft free kicks or having a rush of blood, big test for him today.

As Sniffer has said though Rooney isnt the player he once was and contrary to what Sky tell you, believe it or not there will be another 21 players on the pitch. We should be the stronger team.

I see Yates as a positive in this game, lots of energy. Only worry is when he is on the ball. Is it 12.30 this morning is dragging!
