Match Player Ratings
We invite too much pressure in the last ten mins because we fail to finish teams off.

I thought da costa showed little glimpses of a decent player. Would be good to see him get a run of games

Most of the times when we have failed to hold on to a lead has been the games when Grabban has failed to hold the ball up.

We look very vulnerable when the ball keeps coming back at us without respite.

Grabban looked way off the pace on Saturday, but he is in his 30's and would have really struggled to get fit in such a short space of time.

I hope he gets back into the swing of things fairly quickly because he has been a massive player this season.

I agree about Costa; there is definitely a player there and the sooner he gets up to speed and starts to help out Grabbs the better

Not being facetious, but did you? I've got to say it passed me by. I thought he had little impact on the game when he came on and I put it down to the fact it was just his 2nd sub appearance for us, in a strange old game.

I don't know how you'd start him at the moment, he'd be lost in games IMO. Grabban is crucial to the way we play. Wonder why Walker wasn't on the bench?

The blokes only had a few minutes in the shirt. We can't judge him yet.

I felt he looked lively when he came on, looked a willing runner and a decent touch. He didn't actually do anything really but I liked his willingness to try and make an impact

Ok. Will try give my ratings

Samba 5.5 - not his best game.
Ribeiro -7 - solid game. Ever dependable
Cash 7 - solid game
Fig 7
Worrall - 6 - besides the mistake I thought he was edgy and making mistakes all game
Watson 8.5 - excellent
Sow 8
Yates 7
Lolley 7.5 - great goal. Tired
Da costa 7
Grabban 6 - thankless job but should hit the target once

Think this is spot on tbh, maybe cash loses points for his attempt to clear their goal?

Thought Figgy was our best player by a country mile.

A bit OTT with Watson, he played in a midfield three with two other defensive minded players and struggled (again) when players got goal side of him. Silva would have been getting pelters for putting in that performance.

Obviously we only watched it on TV, but I thought MF was magnificent, all 3 of them, including Watson doing the often unseen work.

Da Costa looked good every game for me, better than Ameobi.

The bench weren’t happy with him defensively.
