A positive for us or not?
Thoughts...

Wouldn't have thought so. All the top sides have decent squads and our reserves have proven to be ineffective when selected anyway.

I dont like the idea in principle. It'll be difficult to reverse and will just result in the big clubs stockpiling even more players.

I think the biggest advantage to us will prove to be the rest given to the players. In particular im hoping the pause will have allowed Sow and Silva to get back fit as well as giving Grabban some respite from the hard slog of a season its been for him.

Hopefully Da Costa, Bong and McGuane will also all be up to speed as well.

With the possible exception of WBA I believe that we have greater strength in depth than the rest in and around the play off zone. Our bench and the back up to it will be a good advantage to us going through the hectic final part of this weird season. For this reason and for the factors mentioned by Paplane and Sniffer I now believe that we will be promoted.

Pretty sure I saw McGuane included in the training clip a couple of days ago.
He may well feature in an enlarged match day squad.

I think its nuts. Potentially 10 subs in one game, most likely in 2nd half or last 30 mins. They need to properly crack down on the time wasting. Otherwise last "10 minutes" could be very dull and seem to go on forever.

I admire your optimism but I honestly dont think we have strength in depth. Our strongest XI we know is a match for anyone but let me just remind you of our bench for our last game vs Milwall
Muric
Bostock
Diakhaby (bet everyone had forgotten about him, assume he is still here)
Jenkinson
Dawson
Yates
Walker

Be honest its not great is it?

It wasn't great Salvatore you are right.

However we can now call upon Sow, Silva, Da Costa and McGuane who were all injured before (except McGuane who wasn't ready). Those 4 make things look much better in my view.

Diakhaby, is he still here?! Maybe he had a really strong lockdown...

To avoid time wasting I think there's still only going to be 3 'slots' to bring players on. So if you want to use all 5 subs, then on two occasions you have to bring 2 players on. Seems sensible.

3 Charlton players refusing to play due to not wanting to risk injury.

Shame we dont get to play them

Leeds have them on the last day. I'd imagine they'll be easily down at that point without Taylor.
