I was thinking the same as you Paplane, much as I would hate to lose Cash at least we have Darikwa and Jenkinson to cover his loss. Just hoping we get promoted and don't lose anyone. I cannot see Worrall going as he would have to be replaced and if we got 20m for him, would cost us half of that to replace him with someone like Scott McKenna.

Income from next season - if the redevelopment of the PT stand goes ahead as planned - will drop by £2m+ resulting from the reduction in capacity.

I would expect that any loss of income that is a consequence of the development will be capitalised ie added to the cost of the project which will be spread over probably 6 years. That would be a normal accountancy.

Cash for Cash is a bonus.

He was nowhere at the start of the season.  He was a 'failed' winger according to some despite scoring about 8 goals the season before.  And lift at RB started very rocky indeed being turned inside out for more than a few goals.

It's the same old chestnut.  Like him to stay.  But if someone bids £15 million (which added to the £20million in sales over the last year...) and Forest put £7.5 million towards FFP and 7.5 million to the transfer chest then you still have Jenkinson who Forest payed a 'fair' fee for and was expected to play at RB...as was Darikwa.  Not Cash.

It's more being 'wise' after the fact.  Cash has, like many signings, not turned out as expected.  CM?  No.  (Though I think he'd be most suited there...)  Winger?  No.  Despite scoring a bucket load of goals from there.  RB?  Lol.  You're kidding, right?  Oh.  Turns out he's a revelation.   (Well, apart from that game where he failed to jump for a goal line clearance.)

Football is like that.

Taking £30-40 million for two players in Cash and Worrall.  They'd be insane to turn it down.  Scouted correctly, they'd get 'just as good' if not better technical players from abroad for far less money and make huge profits on players developed for 'free.'

Some have bemoaned Forest's January window (never a good window to do business in...because you're taking left overs that nobody wants?)  However, the reality is, as Forest are right on the line with FFP that flipping players is a bite of reality sandwich in order to do 'Transfer Business.'

Forest don't generate enough income outside of player sales to go on spending sprees for Car's.  And look how that one has turned out.

We can't blame MoN for him not playing now, eh?

Would love to see him given free rein - in Silva’s absence - in the 10 role.
As I keep saying - he’s been given just 2 starts in that role this season ( both away from home ) & we won both.

But will we ever see it?  We can't blame MoN for him not starting games now.  We may as well blame the winter weather...and spring is around the corner.

Two starts just says that the Coach knows more about why he's not starting games.  Another 'Coach' that has Car' on 'watching' duty.  But he's had far more than 2 chances in terms of coming off the bench and been far from influential in assists or goals.

eg.  Yates scored the goal in the last game.  Car didn't.  Forest 'may' have played a bit better with Car' on (and Bostock.)

I doubt Car will be given 'free rein' as even Grabban now works so hard for the team.  Car' will have to do no less.  That will involve tackles and tracking back, I suspect.  Something he hasn't been great at.  Nor assists.  Nor goals.

We're not almost two seasons into Car'.  

In the absence of Da Silva it's going to be Lolley or Car'.

I'd be happy for either to assist and score goals.

Two games is a statistical irrelevance.

He's started in the role the coach felt best for him. Forest are set up the way they are to get 4th in the table. I doubt building the Forest side around Car's preferred position would have Forest so exotically placed.

From the games (many games) Car has been involved in?  No assists.  No goals.  Even if he can't tackle or track back, he has to do the former, right?  But I'd argue, because he can't do the latter he can't do the former.   He's played a lot of games but been far from influential in many of them. The Coach wants to get the best out of him. So far? It hasn't happened. Silva has done far better and is more what you expect from a Championship player. A player that has gone forwards. Car seems to have stagnated.

Silva is injured.  So Lolley or Car' will play in a 'role.'  Surely Car' should start now?  *(waits for the Millwall bus to hit, 'Don't hit me!')

Who else.  It's going to be Lolley or Car'.  We can only 'suppose.'  eg. Dia, Semedo...Yates...*keeps guessing...

He's had a break all season.  Sat on the bench.  What more does he want?  I don't fell sorry for Forest players when they lose.  I don't feel sorry for Car' either.  Footballers are well paid to 'fail.'

IF Car' gets MoM for scoring no goal in 20 mins (Yates scored the opener...) against a tiring side, I'm quite happy with SoW being my Player of the Season and being pivotal to helping Forest into he top 6 not once but twice.  Despite a lengthy injury.

2 games is a ‘statistical irrelevance’?!
Those 2 games are the only ones where he has been given the number 10 starting role - and it worked.
Do not fall into the trap of judging him in other games where he has played alongside Silva, played totally out of position on the wing or been brought on to chase a game where we are struggling.
I haven’t seen players such as Grabban, Yates, Semedo ( to name just 3 ) being asked to play wide. Why? They’re not wingers. Well neither is Carvalho!
And Sow? Of course he must play - but he ain’t a number 10.
Carvalho is!
Give him a run in the side.
If it doesn’t work then fair enough - but 100% success ( admittedly in just 2 games ) says that he fully deserves a longer run ( in Silva’s absence).
