Way too early to judge Diakhaby. He needs time to get up to speed (fitness and playing style). He showed some good progress yesterday and he could still turn out to be a very good acquisition. He has the technique and speed to be a real threat.

He's played in 24 games this season, how does he need more time to get up to speed with fitness & playing style?

There's only 12 games left.

Yes 24 games but only few minutes. He has played 380 minutes spread over 10 games since start of November and that includes the two games he has started against Charlton and QPR (total of 161 min in these two games). To me he hasn't look match sharp although there were positive signs against QPR. In addition to that he needs to get to grips with how Forest play and what is expected of him.

I'm sorry Alf, I know that you are eager to brand every transfer as poor but sometimes it takes a bit of time before players are firing on all cylinder.

Alf has a point though Gari. If we have to wait a few games for him to ‘get up to speed’ we’d have been better off retaining Albert or playing Mighten.

He's played 1108 minutes in total this season mate. That's  more than Semedo (805), Carvalho (750) & Yates (730), 

Didn't see him yesterday as I couldn't make the game, but in prev weeks to me he just looks not ready/good enough yet to do the job we require of him.

I think another 5-6 games training him up further will cost us even more points like Charlton & QPR.

That said, I don't think our other options are much more ready either (e.g. Mighten) but at least they'll be here next year for us to benefit from if they're not.

Don't agree to that TPL. The question for me is whether the player has the potential to preform better than what we have/had and in this case I would say yes he does have that potential (although Migthen has huge potential he's only 17 and needs much more time). I have no issues with a player needing a few games to get fully bedded in. If Diakhaby is the one that scores the decisive goal in the play off final I believe we all will be pretty happy. 

And btw, it would be great if we could try to be a bit supportive of the players we bring in. I don't see the point in continuously dissing new players before they have gotten the chance to prove themselves. It almost feels like some people just can't enjoy the ride even though we all know it will be ups and downs. If we are not top of the league we need somebody to point the finger at.

Like everyone else I am not happy the way crucial decisions go against us. Maybe it's paranoia but we seem to have more than our share of bad refereeing decisions. If they are supposed to even up through the season, we have a hell of a lot of 'luck' coming our way. I understand the rules, but sometimes common sense would be good. I know the rule with the rolling ball is to stop players taking advantage, but how many times is there a real advantage? For the goal to be ruled out yesterday, the ref or assistant or whoever gave the decision to rule out the goal had to be able to 100% say that at the time Lolley kicked the ball it was moving .... well was it? Yes, it moved as he was running up but at the exact moment his foot made contact, was the ball moving. Did he gain an advantage ...NO and this is where a little bit of common sense should prevail. I know some are going to say, well what if it was the other way round - to be honest, it always seems to be!!

It was moving! We all saw it very clearly from where we were.  Free kicks always get pulled up when the ball is rolling. This was no different.

Decry our bad luck that it was spotted, fine, but lets not pretend we've been on the end of another poor decision, because we havent.
