Fantastic return. 

His all round play is what makes these stats all the more incredible. Works tirelessly playing the lone striker role, constantly chasing and sometimes feeding off scraps

Grabban currently 4th in Championship scoring charts behind Mitrovic, Watkins and Bowen. Grabban’s average is 151 minutes per goal and 49% of his shots have been on target. Comparatively, the other three have taken less time per goal and have better percentages for shots on target. Interestingly however, Grabban is more deadly. His 14 goals have come from 20 shots on target. Each of the others have converted fewer than half of their shots on target.

Neither would I. He's been absolutely brilliant this season. Player of the season so far for me.

When he first signed I thought he was just a goal scorer but I soon realised that his game was much more than finishing. His work rate is immense. And if he's facing goal with the ball at his feet his ability to beat a man and finish is superb.

Compare the £6m Grabban to the £7m Brereton. What a snip.

And for much of this season, the supply lines to him have been somewhat barren.

Imagine what goal tally he'd be on with better service.

For a striker, on his own, to be on 14 goals is impressive.  Still the other half of the season to go.

I had Grabban down as a languid, surly play for 'myself' when I can be bothered to play type.

At the least, he's his own man.

To be fair, he's been alone, 'up top' and often starved of service. We can only imagine the goals he would have scored had the supply line been more abundant.

Under 'The Coach' I see less of a chip on the shoulder and more a self belief that's he's beginning to find a home...and actually believes in what he's doing.

ie. Getting Grabban to track back, defend... His recent performances, he's been 'The Boss.' Leading the line.

A goal earlier this season where he ran and buried it. I haven't seen Grabban score a goal like that. Would have done Collymore proud. And yesterday. Pass to Ameobi to get the pass back...header straight in. :o

If he keeps going like this, he'll be in the team of the decade (with Earnie an honoury 2nd...) IF he fires us to the Premiership. When was the last time we had a 20 a season striker? It's on.

I'm starting to believe he wants this as much as 'we' do. That's he's no longer a footballing nomad. Somehow, that he's found his way home.

i love Lewis, he seems in absolute tip top shape physically and mentally and spiritually and recently increasingly happy to try and get other players in or provide an option and lead the high press .. with some belief, the main thing is i think he is at peace, not feeling pressured to chase every lost cause but choose his moments without having to endure discontent from the stands. I will overlook the 3 or so sitters it happens at least he was there. The guy seems superfit this season.
