everyone gets a 10 from me, great team performance, Wozza gets 11 for a great finish and making it more exciting, Lolley gets 12 and Grabban 15, actually i think i'll give Robinson 14 because i think many are too harsh on the fella, always puts a shift in, Sabri gets 16 for playing strongest side and preparation looked spot on, well done everyone

Pretty much agree, the only thing I would have a different view on is Silva. He buzzes around alot, but creates very little in the 10 role outside of set pieces. 6 at most from where we sat. His attitude though is superb.

I think his set pieces particularly were excellent today, we should have scored from three of his corners. 

He is also one of the minority that doesn’t automatically kick the ball long when we’re under pressure.

I rate silva, maybe he needs good movement for him to create? His passing is usually bang on.

Silva is really growing on me. I believe he's getting better and better as he's getting to grips with the high tempo of the Championship. With better movement in front of him i believe he would be a lot more efficient. If Carvalho had played as Silva does now I'm sure we would have raved about him.

Grabban was immense. That last goal was just superb. He passed it to Ameobi, outpaced the defenders, went back post not front to give him space and finished the cross superbly.

Hmm, not so sure about that. More likely if we had paid 13million for him, people would be asking why he gives the ball away so much and can't open up the opposition unless from a set piece.

But we didnt, so we don't.....

Can anyone give ratings for the Chelsea game? Ive only seen the 2 minute highlights, looked like the youngsters at least gave it a good go.

jenkinson - 7 - very steady eddie
dawson - 7 good game, marshalled troops well
figgs -6 benalooney 6 - both OK
Riberio - 5 - defensively poor for first 20 minutes but rcovered well
johnson 6 - proper shift to stem the tide
samedo 5 - not great but not awful
Yates 7 - physicality and grew into game
carvalho 4 - so poor in a wide position - had to swap - ineffective BUT 1 flash of a run and 1 great ball from free kick
mighten 8 - a handful for them and full of energy, pace and surprising strength - a gem in the making?

Fornah / En Nayah? - good energy - fornah looks a unit

Can anyone give ratings for the Chelsea game? Ive only seen the 2 minute highlights, looked like the youngsters at least gave it a good go.

I got to see some of Forest's play vs Chelsea.  But I missed our usual posting of the player ratings.

Cascade failure for the 1st goal.  Rib' not being covered by 'his' man in front and then Smith soundly beaten near post.  But yes.  It got better.

Some incisive ratings there.  Can't really argue with them.  Ty.

Noted that some of the academy players are 'units' from Yates, Fornah etc.  Even Mighten looks like a compact powerhouse.

It's something I've noticed more about the Premier vs Championship teams.  Or where recruitment was before Aitor's Bloody Valentine post Preston.  Vs Bruce's Villa, so much of our team looked like midgets and Villa's players were so much more taller, powerful, athletic doing the game plan in auto pilot.

Our recruitment inside an outside the club seems to be looking towards 'units.'  So to speak.  Yates, for example, is a bit of a 'unit' as well and brings, along with Sow, that physicality and energy to midfield.

Power.  eg.  Sow.  More like him, please.

You can see from posters who give player ratings generally where the team needs to be strengthened. And it also showed vs Chelsea. That said, £150 million Chelsea...is that what it buys you? Being able to 'beat' an unfit LB? And 'beat' a reserve Championship keeper?

It was nice to see some of our Academy lads standing up to Chelsea in Midfield and up front. Yates and Mighten. I think they did well. Yates may get his place back on the bench. Mighten could well do with a place on the bench. But that could depend on what players are coming in.
