The defence was the department that kept us going thus giving the rest of the team a chance in the other games, today the defence was all over the place nd thd rest of the team just played as usual, toothless.
Not even in the second half with Wednesday playing as if it was a friendly, we couldn't have a spell of dominance and score a couple of goals to save face.
I hope that the love affair of some of the fans with Carvalho is over now. What a show pony he is, miss placed passes galore like he is playing a 5 a side game, he doesn't deserve near the first 11, sign three or four new players in January and offload the same amount.
If I was Chema I would be perplexed why I m not given a number of games to establish myself in the team, after all he played in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
Rhodes nd Fletcher showed what we r missing upfront, Grabban is ok for tap ins, rarely scores a solo goal .
Enough for now, but that hurt ...
Wanted to reply to this directly, no denying we were poor but to once again pin this on carvalho is not fair. He dropped off in the second half but was our only decent attacking player first half. Silva was considerably worse and constantly gave it away. Watson was slow and repeatedly gave it away, ameobi largely struggled.
Also not sure about your point on Chema, as you rightly said our defence has been the key till this game so why he’d be brought into the team in that situation I don’t get that.
I liked the tactic of making no subs and making them suffer, wouldN’t be surprised if there were 6-7 changes next game. Worrying times Agree with this. Yes we were shocking today, but all at fault. The tone of the original was a bit gleeful for my taste and how anyone can support a team, yet hope fans will no longer like a player? Weird.

He took his shirt off in the end before he got lynched. Looked smashed.
It was a Forest fan on a stag do completing a brain dead dare!!! 4-0 down and many didn't appreciate his gesture. Took a bit of a kicking and someone stubbed a cigarette out on his forehead. Mindless across the board.

Looking at the table. I'm going to attempt to be rational about the 4:0.
Of the teams in the top 3-8 only Sheff Wednesday have lost 1 less than Forest in the recent 6 games.
Preston lost 4 on the bounce on a torrid run. (And they're back to 3rd and 'only' 3 points ahead of 8th placed Forest who have a game in hand.)
Brentford has lost 2. (You have to hand it to them. They've stuck with a plan. On merit, they deserve their spot.)
Sheff Wed' have lost just 1. (They're on a good run. Like Blackburn.)
Fulham have lost 3 straight in a row including 'today.' (After a good run, not all conquering. Were 3rd. Now they're not.)
Bristol City have lost 3. (Who are up and down like yo-yos.)
Forest 'two.' (Had Forest managed any combination of a win AND a draw from their last 3 games...they'd be sitting 3rd.)
Today was damaging. We felt that one. But just as damaging if not more so were the two 'last minute' draws from winning positions. Moral sapping.
And probably frustrating. As you could cut the tension with a knife with today's performance. Forest didn't perform at all and started badly.
What do I mean? Check out Dawson and The Coach's 'deadpan flat as a pancake' facial expressions on the 'interview' links on the Forest front page. Every picture tells a story. Along with the 'Watford' link Sniffer Dog talks of. 'I wonder...' Forest didn't start well today. And it seemed reminiscent of last year under Aitor when things weren't right vs Ipswich or the players seemed 'frightened' to perform under Warburton.
They cost 4 points. Which would have put Forest on 38 points with a game in hand on 2nd placed Leeds.
Fine margins. Though today's catastrophic blow to moral wasn't. Fine. At all.

At the end of the day, Forest's players are payed a lot of money to 'fail' like they have all week. While their fans froze their Nads off in the cold, dark weather and payed for the privilege too.
The onus is on them to buck their ideas up. Coach included. And come back fighting. Because their was precious little fight in this performance. And that's always a bad sign.
Forest need a win. Quick.
The faultiness are running thorugh the team. A mid 30s CH and DCM. Lightweight front line. Out of form wingers. And one fullback bang out of form and has been for a long while.
You can't have that and stay top 6.

Mate, i don't think we need a number 10. I think we need another striker.
Lamouchi's style relies on us overpowering the opposition, and shutting them out. We play it long fairly often, attack down the flanks, and when it reaches the box play it from side to side to craft an opening. A number 10 is kinda nowhere in that setup, he just recycles it from one side to the next as we often do. The reason Silva's done so well in that role is because he drops deeps, and bites back when losing the ball, so essentially he's just a CM.
We need more than 1 runner in front, and a tall option who can win it in the air & hold it up is what I think he'll want in Jan (if he lasts).
Carvalho's a waste of space, a future prospect for another system & another manager, Silva is a good traditional CM option.
This is the team I think Mouch would like to play at home:
Samba
Cash Daws Worral Ribero
Lolley Watson/Silva Sow Ameobi/New Winger
Big forward Grabban
Direct attacking with power & purpose.

Oh shit! All I saw was him coming down the stairs at half time, I didn’t hang around but you could tell that it was going to kick off and there wasn’t a steward in sight!

This result has been on the cards for a while now, just don’t think we are good enough at the moment, I really think we have been punching above our weight.
Still optimistic for the playoffs I do think we need a good transfer window.
Christmas is worrying me, we really can’t afford for this slump to carry on much longer and we generally are poor around the festive fixtures.
On the bright side at least Sabri won’t win the curse of Manager of the Month again!

It's been coming. Forest have been leading a charmed life.
Play offs IF a good Jan' window and keeping Sow and Rib' fit. The current team minus Sow and Rib' have been found out. And many of the loans just aren't playing. Forest have been treading water for a while now since Sow's injury. Watson and Dawson have given as much as they can. Even that's starting to creak and crack.
The Coach won't win the curse of not being Top 6 by January. That's the target...isn't it?
