Semedo no brainer to come in, for me he's looked good again in his little cameos.

I agree. Dawson's aerial ability against that man mountain Smith will be invaluable.

And I'd start Semedo, even if he only manages 60 minutes. Tonight wont be a game for Carvalho, whether he's in form or not.

A wet and windy night of football at Millwall. We need to go in, get an ugly 1-0 win, and get out.

God knows why they've chosen to put it on the telly. It's an unattractive fixture, there's the Boris/Corbyn debate thing on the other side, and it's Friday night. Nationwide there'll be about 2 dozen people watching.

Smith always scores against us - still remember when he scored ( 2? ) when Oldham turned us over in the cup a good few years ago.

Can't believe it, just realised there is a match tonight, great, really excited, more to do with me somehow only half realising it is Friday and half realising we play on Friday night, anyway all this just after i have started watching 'Amnesia' on Amazon, which, though only 20 mins in, i like, alot

Cardiff was just a practice run for tonight, alot was very good about the performance against Cardiff, just need a 14.2% improvement in the last 3rd

Regardless i'm very happy right now, try being pessimistic when it's a Friday, we have a game tonight, and you have Amnesia! bloody impossible!

Bit worried about midfield whoever plays. Semedo is good going in one direction. Carvalho could get bullied, Bostock maybe the best choice, but would have to step up massively on anything shown so far this year. Silva is ok in 8 role, but not against likes of cardiff/Mwah. Brennan Johnson totally unproven.

With Forest, it's been midfield, midfield, midfield for the last 20 years. Time and time again Forest haven't been able to boss games season in, season out, to impose 'ourselves' against the Cardiffs and Millwalls.

Geoff Thomas, Bart Williams, McKenna, Gueddy.

There aren't many that come to mind. And the few that do are associated with a promotion or top 6 Championship.

The midfield 'General' has been a perennial weakness for Forest.

Ergo. A relief to have a rejuvenated Watson (his swan song in a Forest shirt), Yates (signing a new deal so we have him long term for the future...) and Sow (who is on the horizon for a most welcome return.)

But that doesn't help Forest tonight. We're under strength in that area.
