after a good performance against Cardiff who are ex PL we are up against a far inferior team in Millwall L1 ish standard

I am inspired by most aspects of the Forest performances and in some ways they raised the bar against Cardiff

All the momentum needs to result in predominantly shots on target as opposed to in reality clearances.

We went from typically single figure chances to almost 3 figures

Anyway, this game will be an easy imo

No game at The Den is ever easy. This is one of our toughest away games of the season.

Think we'll fare better here. Away from home suits us, and I very much doubt we'll start Carvalho again.

As others have said, hopefully Sow &/or Daws will be back, which will make a massive difference.

Friday will see Nottingham Forest take on a resurgent Millwall under new manager Gary Rowett in what will prove to be a tough game in London for the visitors.

Millwall normally line up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and will look to play with width and control the game in the oppositions half. Mostly attacking down their right hand side, they will attempt crosses often and have shown that they are very strong in Aerial duels and like late runners into the box to attack the fizzed in crosses. This wide play has seen the big chance creation stat increase quickly in Rowett’s rein but don’t be fooled into thinking they play a long ball game. Yes they will do long if they need to and won’t take chances under pressure but we have seen in the last few games the shorter controlling possession passes becoming the more dominate stat in Millwall’s game plan.

Millwall are not afraid to take shots from all over the park from long distance but most long range efforts are normally from middle of the pitch areas from either a driving run from a central midfield player or from the headed clearance by the defence from a cross. Crossing into the striker is definitely their preferred method of attack.

Rowett’s real impact has been on the Millwall defence who are now more organised without the ball and do not take risks when defending or under pressure. A weakness until recently has been defending set pieces but now this hole has been plugged with players taking more responsibility in the man to man marking.

So how to get at them?

Fitness! That is how you can get at Millwall at this moment in time. Millwall players seem to tire faster than most so far this season and prefer to move the ball rather than run. This lack of fitness has seen Millwall having to rotate the team very often and has led to misunderstandings between the team. Therefore, by cutting off the shorter safer passes and forcing those players to take on the player in front of them or chase the longer pass will present Forest with more chances to regain possession.

As Millwall attack down the wings and push players forwards they do leave big pockets of space behind fullbacks and open to counter-attacks in these areas and have been very suspect when dealing with through balls to players with pace and movement.

Match prediction
This is not going to be an easy game and Forest will have to work hard at the dark side of the game to come away with the points on this visit. Going to say chances at a premium for both side and it will finish 0-0
