I would choose Jimmy Gordon.

maybe widdow can put in a word and get him on here?

Agreed. Jimmy Gordon all the way. He was very knowledgeable and as far as I can remember he never resorted to name calling or petty squabbling.

Plus 1.

I was also a big fan of Jimmy Gordon.

There was a golden age for the forums for a while, a lot of posters, some real good ones and a club in trouble.
There were always those who did your head in and would drive others away, Rob was certainly one of them. I stopped going on match day threads because of him.
Charlie Austins Dad and Sitting next to Billy on the plane are my two favourites.
Also, "look east".
I'd spend hours arguing with Jimmy Gordon. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of pages with Jimmy at the center of the thread arguing with everybody.

That is true McDurban but Jimmy as far as I remember always kept his dignity and didn't resorted to personal insults etc. I had the utmost respect for him.

Yeah, I liked him even though I would often disagree with him.

Jom used to get on my nerves. It was the way he made out that he was in the know, coming up with BS rumours and smug cryptic comments all passed off as fact when he clearly knew diddly squat. Look East was a classic example, he then made out that was proof he knew about Kuwait consortium before it happened.

he actually used to get highly defensive and aggressive if you questioned the BS

it was rockstar stuff for a while. each day there another explosive story. 95% was madeup.

i remember once a school teacher created a login on vital. made up a completely false story during the transfer window which everybody sucked, and then a few hours later admitted it was a complete lie and it was to show his class the dangers of the internet.

Jock needs to be on that list. Known a fair few get wound up by him over the years  :D Certainly has a mini-celeb status with a few posters from other forums.

Always thought you were fairly balanced myself Jock.

I always thought that Sniffer Dog was treated very unfairly on Vital by many (you know who you are Plummer and Apollyon to name just two). Time and time again he would post stuff and get shot down for it only to be proved right later. Fair play to him though he never got deterred. I remember he even revealed his contact (a Greek Football Journo) and said that his contact was Greek and he would be appearing on Radio Nottingham the following week to do an interview. He got absolutely hammered for it but guess what? The following week the journo appeared on Radio Nottingham and did the interview!
He was genuine was Sniffer and I am so grateful that he has set up this forum. They didn't deserve him over at Vital.
