Wigan away.
Hull home.
Reading home.
Luton away.
Derby home.

I am licking my lips! (cautiously).

We should be good enough to get 11/12 points from 5 games better than the 2 per game ratio needed to get promotion.

The busy Christmas period will tell us a lot about what to expect. One game at a time and feet on the ground.

Another 13 points from that and we will be really motoring. Tough, as every fixture is but no tougher than what we have faced. Both Wigan and Luton are winnable away games while all three home games are winnable. Would be nice to turn Derby over again as well.

Cautiously optimistic

If our attitude is spot on then we will hopefully pick up 13-15 points from these games.

I will not allow myself to get carried away though and taking nothing for granted.

10 points from the next five games would be fantastic, and keep up the average 2 points per game required for the auto's - although we would only be 6 points better of than we were at the same stage last season.

Anything above 10 points would be an amazing return in such a short space of time for the manager and team.

If we picked up 13 points over those games we would be matching what Wolves did when they went up after 16 matches. get 15 points and we would be ahead of where Reading were at, when they got the highest points total in the championship history. Just let that sink in for a moment. If anything that should make us realise how well we have started considering the tough matches we have played.

“Only” 6 points is a lot after 17 games. Equivalent to over 16 points at the end of the season.

Last season we’d have finished in 4th place with 16 extra points.

Looking at the fixtures I would be a bit disappointed if we only managed 10 points from the next 5 games. I suppose that shows just how far we have come.
Panic on the streets of Croydon, Derby, Sheffield, Leicestershire.

11 would be a fantastic return and take us over the 2 point a game average required.

You got it. The moment we start automatically assuming we're going to turn teams over is when it all falls apart imo.

I just sense we're getting ahead of ourselves a little.

Playing last on the Sunday we'll be playing catchup on our rivals. Thats another level of pressure. Can the players come through? I hope so.

Fully agree but do we really dare start to believe we can maintain a top 2 position up to the Christmas run in ?
