Next Few Games

There is only so long you can be lucky and you can dig deep with effort. Time and time again we have managed to get something even though we are not playing well and yes you think we got a point there but the boys need to remember they do have another level they can reach and another level after that.  SL will be wanting more from them and I think doing it before the international break is the perfect time as they will have longer to reflect and enjoy the performance rather than bang straight into the next game. This increases your physiological confidence quicker and higher than a phew we were lucky there to get a point or win. The risk is if we don’t have the performance game is then players will dwell on their own performance and go into games think it’s only a matter of time until we can’t come back compared to the thought of we have shown we can perform so let’s go do it again and win.

I don't think there is any evidence to back up what you're asserting.

Historically teams who earn points notwithstanding performance psychologically become mentally stronger not weaker because they believe that regardless what comes off they will achieve.

Sabri's role will be to ensure that we don't dwell, focus on the positives and work on the negatives.

The best way for a team like us with a smaller budget to get promoted competing against the parachute payments sides is a good start points wise.

Then we can take the inevitable bad run and still be in the top 6 afterwards. Whereas previous years we’ve needed a run of 3/4 wins to catch top 6 now we’re in there and can average less points per game from year to maintain our position.

Hopefully we just keep winning!

Draw tomorrow then win the next three.

10 points from October and we’ll be top two.

Prefer a win today and then win the next three. We are playing Brentford, I am not going to big them up. I expect us to beat them.

Win it was, told ya it's not the Brentford of old, hardly any threat from them.

So it ended up as WWLWDW. Nobody got that right but I think, with the L being in the cup, we all would’ve taken it.

it's funny, why, me included at times, we have to conclude that eg Brentford aren't 'the Brentford of old' as in they have got worse.  Alot of their fans 'default' to all thinking they aren't very good, in decline etc, when, actually, they are a very good side, i think they will finish top half.  Similar with Stoke, they will probably finish top half.

Anyway, the 'hardly any threat from them', was totally to do with them coming up against a more confident, organised, motivated side, as well as tactically being outclassed.

I think today was the best performance in many ways and it was the best performance because we were up against a good side who were totally nullified.

The next 5 fixtures before the next international break.

Wigan away.
Hull home.
Reading home.
Luton away.
Derby home.

I am licking my lips! (cautiously).

Wigan away. Draw
Hull home. Win
Reading home. Win
Luton away. Lose (play the reserves ready for next game?)
Derby home. Win big

10 pts in 5 games then....in this division though, you never know. Home games are actually going to quite tough as all those opponents will be parking the bus.

No way we will field a reserve side in a league game and no way that we ever should.

It was tongue in cheek as it's pre Sheep. Also, emoji came up as a question mark.

Can you imagine the atmosphere at the sheep game if we win and go/stay top of the league.
