He played a lot of games in a short space of time. It was catching up with him. I would have been tempted to leave him out if we had a game this week. He has been a breath of fresh air though.

Time to give Ryan a break from the action I think and bring Yacob back in starting at Rotherham on Saturday.

If we take Yates our from the starting eleven and still keep playing with three midfielders, at least the one replacing Yates should be Gueddy. Hopefully he will be able to provide some spark to the midfield. My guess is that we will see Pele on Saturday...or for Watson or for Yates ... could be Colbacks last game for a wee while ...if he gets his 15th yellow...

Yates played well yesterday (v Middlesboro).
That challenge in our box when he put his body/head on the line to get a kick and stop the shoot, I think sums up why MoN and Keane like him so much. He WANTS to do everything for Forest. You need some players who are 100% committed to drive the team on. His distribution was much better than of late and he was passing it forward.

Yates has got Watson & Sow to learn from. Gonna be a Premiership player.

Not convinced - but open minded & hope he proves me wrong.

I am looking forward to seeing Yates play under the influence of Lamouchi. I think he will be much improved and he was doing very well before. Lets see.
COYR!

It’s the same as Tyler Walker, if he’s ever going to be actually good enough to play for us one day, then he needs to be playing regularly(once he’s fit of course) instead of being just a bit part player who most weeks wouldn’t even make the bench.

We need to have a squad not just a starting 11. Watson will not play 46 league games, Bostock has a history of injuries, Semedo is blowing hot and cold. We need Yates and he won't let anybody down when he plays. |
