Nottingham Forest Ladies

If we’re going to have a Ladies team carrying the Nottingham Forest name then it needs to be of a good standard.
A good move in my view - I suspect, had Marinakis ( & not the village idiot ) been in charge at the time, the then County ladies team ( rather than go to the wall ) would’ve been playing in Red & White.

IIRC, the owner of the pies before Hardy nicked the Lincoln ladies team and moved them all over to Nottingham, changing their name to Notts County. At the time they were one of the best teams in the country. I seem to recall it screwed over the Forest ladies team at the time as there was some kind of a bidding process going on for league places and we missed out to them.

Enter Hardy who then kills them dead....

Nottingham Forest are pleased to announce that the club’s women’s team will be renamed Nottingham Forest Women from 1st July 2019.

Additionally, the women’s club logo will be consistent with the traditional Forest badge, removing ‘Ladies’ which is currently used.

Seems like the club have eventually taken over the running of the ldies and there'll be a professional set up there at last.

Cant say I'm enthused about womens football generally to be honest but never say never I suppose.
I support Nottm Forest. Any team they put out is mine to support.

Hope nobody gets hit by a groundsman's pitch fork handle.

There was a right mob of Forest Ladies boarding the train to Derby at 12.15.

A goal from Precious Hamilton was enough to give Forest Ladies a 0-1 win at Pride Park.

I really enjoyed reading some of these comments:

Warren Allsworth: Keogh is not going to like this.

Josh Fussey: Derby are going down, down, down, down.

Lee Adams: Get in!

James Ablett: Getting a bit boring beating Derby all the time.

Jordan Hooley: Let me guess... they played the kids?

Matt: Rams, Rams are falling apart again!

Henrik Johansen: Lovely, congratulation with the win, girls!

Andrew Shaw: More sobbing in the stands! Haha!

Ian White: Men or women it's always the same result!

John White: The Barbara Clough trophy is staying with us!
COYR!
