Opposition Fans Comments

Not many comments around from the Preston fans pre-match, looks like they only have one forum and it's a quiet one.

''Noticed the comments on the Forest forum. Some interesting player and team stats as well. Refreshing change after all the absolute garbage posted on the Sheffield Wednesday forum''.

''Good side are forest. Played very well at Fulham, scored an excellent team goal which shows how well they can play.
Would take a draw, but for some reason I’m quietly confident''.

''Definitely our toughest challenge so far this season. Its game's like this we need to pick up at least a point if we want to be contenders''.

''Over 1300 tickets now sold, looking foward to this one now''!

''Trains busy, Will be a good following today''.

A few comments post match from the Preston fans:

Just had a few looks at their goal on a post from their message board....they’re calling it a slide rule pass but I would call it offside.

Those players did the white shirt proud today, anyone whinging needs to wobble their head.

Also worthy of note is how many fouls they committed as well as the amount of cards they got - yet I’m sure we'll still be called a team of cloggers that kick players about and are ‘anti-football’.

Not sending off whoever put in that shocker of a tackle on Pearson (and then giving the free kick the wrong way!) was yet another terrible decision by an inept referee in Geoff Eltringham. Forest fans are calling us cheats! Shows how little they know about football.

They definitely should have been down to 9 at the end of the game. Ref totally bottled it.

Club website says two forest players clearly offside after watching replay.

Well that's a bad call from the officials then.

Just watched their goal back and both players are definitely offside. Closest of ours is Browne and he his half a body back from Adomah.

A point away at Forest with last season's top scorer at right back, a right winger at CF and our third choice RB at LB is a good point, regardless of the fact we could've been out of sight at half time.

Spot on....and I’ll say it again their goal was offside so it should have been three points with half a team missing.

Were our players offside? I hadn’t noticed that.

The rest of their comments I agree with, their is much more to them than a team of cloggers and divers. Exactly the same comments were aimed at Sheffield United until late in their promotion season. Like Sheff Utd they have some very good players for this level and play to their strengths.

Yep look at the replay, Albert was in front of his man, incompetent officiating works both ways ...

We are owed a few more decisions yet after last season.

Nice to get one in our favour for a change.

I've just looked at it. I think their left back might just be level with Adomah. It's difficult to see but it's close.

Grabban looks slightly further forward than Adomah, so if might have been offside had he touched it.

I can understand the Preston fans feeling a bit frustrated with  our goal but not sure why they think we should have had two red cards and that the ref totally bottled it?

A few pre-match comments from Swansea fans:

Forest are no mugs, not so great away from home though. If we can keep our defence tight I back our forward line to score in every game. 2 nil or 3-1 Swans.

Expect Forest to sit deep, could be frustrating but I fancy we ll break them down. 2-0.

Forest are one of those teams that at their best can beat anyone (hence the 2-1 win @ Fulham), but at the same time could put in a stinker and we win 3-0.

Need to be careful with this one, potential banana skin. They looked pretty good against Fulham and moved the ball around well and countered very quickly. We must make sure not to get caught out when we turn the ball over when attacking.

Leeds absolutely battered this lot, and they came away with a lucky draw. I know Leeds did the same to us, but we shouldn't have a problem, they aren't up to much.

One of the dirtiest sides I'd seen in years at the Liberty last season.

What a bunch of ill-informed comments those are.

We're not great away from home! - P3 W1 D2 L0. Yeah right that's shit form against Leeds, Fulham and Charlton.

We could put a stinker in and so loose 3-0 to them - from memory the one and only occasion we have lost by 3 goals was against Sheff Wed last season.

We came away with a lucky draw against Leeds. Then the wise-guy concedes so did they but that doesn't seem to matter.

We were a dirty side at the Liberty last year - we got 3 yellow cards and they had McKay on the pitch so no wonder they looked lightweight.

They sound like they're getting a bit too confident to me.

What happened last season is irrelevant. We have a different manager and a completely different team.
