Another really good performance from Ben Watson last night that seems to have been conveniently overlooked.
No doubt that if he had made a costly mistake though he would have been crucified for it.
Ditto Worrall.

I thought he played ok
when we went to two in midfield when Ameobi he got overrun and couldn’t cope.
I really dont think he is the answer in that position, but when deeper does have more time to be the “quarterback”. He won’t get that time in championship proper.
Also do not see cash as a right back yet. We need better.

Worrall had a good game last night. I think Dawson's passing and leadership qualities get him in. Milo is a big agricultural passing wise. I thought adomah fought well and ioressed me defensively.

Agree re Adomah - but the Daws / Worrall partnership worries me.

I’d prefer Daws/Fig because they complement one another well. Fig has pace too.
But Fig seems to have disappeared again.

I have just seen a replay of yesterday's game and my highlights are:
1. Worrall was really, really good last night. On that showing he should be our #1 CB.
2. Watson was equally very, very good. I have to admit I have not been a fan but after Sari has come in I believe we have seen a new player. If he had been a new signing we would all be raving about him. Let's hope he can maintain that level of performance. I have still fresh in mind Geddy's start to the season last year were he was unbelievable in the first couple of matches but then slowly faded away.
3. Both FBs were also very good. I believe Robinson is still developing and is now looking like a very accomplished modern day FB. Cash has impressed me very much. He is definitely getting to grips with the FB position.
4. Adomah impressed me with his defensive work in addition to being an attacking treat
5. Both Silva and Semedo are going to boss our midfield when they have got a few more games under their belts
And these are my worries:
1. Daws doesn't have any pace what so ever. He will cost us goals as a result.
2. I felt we could have pressed RS even more. We gave RS too much time on the ball which was disappointing.
3. The way we are playing now I feel that Grabs doesn't have the necessary pace. If however, our wingers had been a bit more attacking Grabs would have been perfect for our formation and approach.
Now, Sari said in his latest interview that he would like to have at least one new signing in each line. I'm not sure if we need a new right back as Cash is slotting in quite well. Could it be a new CB that Sari is looking for? We could need one with some real pace.
In the midfield area I have said that we need another DCM with playmaker attributes. I'm not so sure anymore. Watson is looking like a completely new signing and has impressed me very much. Very calm and constructive with the ball in addition to being good defensive DCM. I would however still want us to sign Massimo Luongo but then not necessarily as a DCM.
In the attacking area we need a CF but if only one is coming in it will be a question if it should be a target CF or a quick and tricky one? I'm actually not sure what would suit us best. As we are playing now maybe a pacy one with good movement and anticipation.

I can't see us signing another Centre Half without any leaving first.
I thought Grabban lead the line really well last night to be fair.
Ben W is looking good (for a ginger) but I think judgement on all our squad can wait until the real stuff gets under way. As mentioned in another thread, will Silva and Semedo be able to perform all their skills, tricks and turns with the likes of Livermore smashing into them? I truly hope so, but it's the hope that kills you...
