My guess
4141
Muric
Cash Milo Worrall Robinson
Semedo
adomah Silva carvalho lolley
Grabban

Seems pretty attacking I like it, maybe Watson will be in above semedo or carvalho.

Just one last comment & I’ll step down from my soapbox. Agree with all of the above except surely Worrall no better than 5th choice ( behind Milo, Daws, Figs & Benny ).
He remains an accident just waiting to happen!

I think figueredo and Milosevic have all the attributes between them to be our first choice pairing. Both fairly quick, decent in the air, can both play a bit. Positional sense from milo is quality.

Agreed.
How could I forget - earlier post suitably amended.

With Geddy apparently off & Bridcutt & Yacob seemingly out of favour we need reinforcements.

The thing with Watson is that he is now playing with a different set of players around him and a new manager.

I don't think we should read too much into some of his performances last season.

It's about the here and now and from what I have seen so far he has been doing the business.

I am not saying that he's the answer and that he's our Makelele but to be fair he deserves to start as things stand.

I’ll stick with Cash - as the squad currently stands.

Muric
Cash Milo Figs Robbo
Watson

but still expecting ( hoping for ) another right back & CDM before season starts...

I think we need a quality centre back, someone who stands out at this level.

Not selling Worrall to Burnley for £10m now looks like an opportunity missed to me.

I think Benalouane will be gone before the season starts.

He clearly wants people who are comfortable in defense who are capable at receiving the ball and dealing with it under pressure, Cash seems to fit into that mould.

That is fine but first and foremost a defender needs to be able to defend and head a ball.

Darikwa for me. I fear that Cash will be found out very quickly.

I hear ya.

Depends how much the manager compromises his principles.

Yes, it's a big call for the manager as things stand.

Really enjoyed the game last night and thought the lads did really well after the exertions of the Olympiacos game and the traveling etc. I too thought Watson did OK, but to be honest, apart from a few games last year when he was struggling, I've always thought he was an asset to the squad. And what he does bring is the ability to coach and lead players around him. He was doing it last night and he contributed hugely to Yates' game last season when he got into the side.

But re the being found out quickly, that's the true test IMO. When opposition sides have done their analysis and actually worked on our strengths and weaknesses and a system to beat us, that'll be the true test. That wont have been the case for any of the friendlies. Cash did well last night but Palace didn't do anything to threaten him offensively. Championship teams will see/anticipate his defensive weakness (as they did with Osborn at FB) and try to expose it. When they do that and he comes through the test, that'll be the point when we should be prepared to praise him and say he's the real deal as a RB.

Oh, and did anyone notice how lean the team looked last night? I thought Cash in particular had lost a lot of bulk.
