You may have the money to buy a new team but it does not mean they will gel together.
Relegated clubs do not automatically go back up.

I don't have any problem with any footballer enjoying their money but if you're not doing the business on the pitch then for god's sake, don't flaunt your wealth all over social media.

IMO he needs some decent advice from his agent. Someone needs to tell him that first and foremost he has to do the business on the pitch. He'll probably realise when he's 30 and playing for Alfreton Town.

There has to be a question mark over his mentality.

Clearly talented, but completely hit a brick wall since he joined us.

Seems to have lost his belief, hunger, and is sitting on a pretty contract.

He has to do himself justice somewhere on loan in L1 next season or his career is in tatters

I still believe he can have a decent career, albeit maybe not the stellar one he looked like he could have had.

Possibly similar situation to young Joe Garner's career, when he came to us as a young talent. Garner failed to settle and moved around a bit until he found a club where he felt comfortable.

I can't see Clough coming back from his slump.

He will end up like McGugan, clearly talented but no drive or determination.

To be honest, players like those two make me sick.

Signing on bonuses/players share of the transfer fee have to be paid over the length of the contract now, not in one lump sum.

Nice to see he has one eye on the future by the way he is cutting his cloth.

Yes, I have no time for this type of character either.

Sadly not. Are we going to end up having to pay him off?

We’ve made some bad decisions in recent years but signing Clough must be one of the worst. I bet EM is fuming, having to pay him a good wage for no return. What a waste of money.
