Well done to the lad, nice way to play out his career.

We need new players in before the transfer window closes.

That day is still just under 2 months away. No need for any panic!

I think current contracts of players run until 30th June so not much will happen before then, not in public anyway.

Expecting some action next week...

Ideally we need them in long before that, preseason is important - especially for us who've nor had any continuity in management, style or player turnover.

In reality though it doesn't normally happen like that. The end of the window is always the busiest time not the beginning.

I see Slavisa Jokanovic is now managing a club in Qatar. It was said many times that he was very expensive, guess this shows where his priorities lie.

Yes, obviously money takes priority for him. I am glad we didn't get him, it would have ended badly, I have no doubt.

sessegnon to spurs for 35mill from fulham. not going to be able to compete with that and parachute payments.

Spurs refusing to pay more than 25m.

Sessegnon only has a year left on his contract so Spurs have them over a barrel.

We have to compete with it though whether we like it or not.

It can be done. Sheffield United did it last season.

Sheff utd had a long-term plan with a manager who wants to play football and was given time to implement a style and team ethic over a number of years where as we are expecting a manager to do that in one window.

It can be done, there is enough evidence around to prove it.

If we think it can't be done then we might as well wrap up.
