John Robertson, simply the best!

Robbo made a total of 397 appearances for The Reds and scored 62 goals including the only goal in the European Cup Final against Hamberg in 1980 at the San Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

that seems like a huge amount of appearances, 397, I guess he must of been with us 10 or more years, I often think about the players that always put a shift in, every game, rainy Tuesdays in Rochdale, week in, week out, sometimes 3 games in 7 days, I saw a huge amount of Steve Stones games for us, always seemed to work so hard every game but an unsung hero type player like Stoney was with us 10 years and only made 193 appearances, 397 seems absolutely phenomonally stratosphericly collosal, can't quite comprehend it, I mean Robbo must of played in front of maybe less than 1000 in some games and others more than 100,000, nope I still can't comprehend it, that is one hell of a career … 397!  i'm going to have to read up thoroughly on this fella … I wish Forest or maybe they do, sit the latest crop of players down and get them to think about how tough some had it to eventually get the time in the sun

* I appreciate Stoney did get quite a few injuries some might of been season long leg breaks etc
