Is it still 5 max in a match day squad?

I'm pretty sure this lad scored against us for Leeds?

Good that he's English as well, considering we have to name 7 in a matchday squad

Would love him to come to Forest exactly what we need...

This would be an excellent loan signing .

So 3 loans already in and Tomlin was being talked about as a loan too, so if he does come, then we've got just 1 slot left. We still need 2 more strikers IMO and they're pricey so in all likelyhood one of those is going to be a loan. That's the 5 used up.

And, Colback???

Don't need him IMO

I think the DCM and ACM are eclipsed by targets in or going to be in.

Ie. I think Tomlin no longer required or can now wait. And Colback? Too expensive if you can get twice the player abroad.

I would have liked to have had both in the squad but as first teamers some may argue they didn't pull up that many trees. However, they were robust not outstanding performers. (For the record, I liked what they brought to the side, especially Colback in the DCM position...) I felt they steadied the ship in a side that had become shot of confidence and the qualities needed to compete in the Championship.

But for the outlay, perhaps Forest can reach a bit higher and get better.

Suggestions from the West Ham end that other clubs might be looking at Byram too. Hope we can get this done, he’d be a great signing.

It will be interesting to see if Forest can get Byram and the Boro' LB over the line (Boro' just seem difficult to deal with...) ie. When their is competition for a signing. Will Forest out gun them or simply move on. I'm guessing Forest won't over pay and will move to other quality targets who are 'just as good' if not. Getting two fullbacks in relatively early means they can join the pre-season training camp. But some clubs will drag their feet and transfers are complicated these days, it seems.

That would still leave GK, DCM and two strikers to sort out.

I had heard about Byram last week, and the same contact has said that only us have permission to speak to him

Hope that's right, as the West Ham bod who posted on Twitter reckons that Leeds could also be interested, and obviously they'd be in with a decent shout.
