A loan signing with sound Championship experience. Having played for Leeds will be used to the rough and tumble of their play style as well as the Championship. The 'big money' move to the Premier with West Ham means he has quality. A 'Lolley' type signing. A player with potential and certainly good enough to do a job at this level. Leaves money for other areas. Prudent.

He might just be a 'Lolley' type player. A player that's more than good enough for the Championship and maybe lower-mid Premier but not for where West Ham's ambitions want to go this season under a new manager?
Sometimes new managers don't 'fancy' certain players. Human chemistry is a funny thing. Could be a Clash of personalities. Or he's just been kept out by a better player or the weight of the fee combined with the step up to the Premier quality?
But if West Ham don't want him...he could do a sound job for Forest.

Just noticed he has also played as right sided forward, yet another one who can play there.
The potential full backs surprise me given Karanka’s supposed negative style of play. Both Fabio and Byram naturally more attacking. So is Darikwa and only other full back option is Osborn assuming Traore moving on. None of these are particularly defensive minded, wonder if Karanaka is looking at 352 although I thought he stuck to 4231 before.

Byram is solid in defence though, more so than Fabio.

He was probably in the 'top 6' side that had Bridcutt in it? (Under Gary Monk? Am I getting that right?) Did they play together when Bridcutt was Captain? A decent Leeds side that have been reasonably robust and doing well in recent years. They started great last year... and fell away last season.
And Forest need players that are robust at this level...with a touch of quality. That he came from that 'tough' Leeds side augers well, for me. I seem to recall they gave you a hard time and gave very little away. (Back when Forest were going to places like Leeds 'hoping' to get a result at 'their' place.)
There was a reason West Ham scooped him up. You must have something the scouts see in you to go to a Premier club.
I'm with BadDog on this. Be VERY happy with him. !
