Team selections will all be about looking at players & trying new things now. Anyone picking fault with them as if we're going all out for the win now should think of the context of games a bit more now IMO
He was doing it several weeks back when we still had a bloody good chance of the play offs !
Those hopes soon evaporated anyway with his "experimenting "!

His changes a few weeks back were the very reason we still had a good chance of the playoffs in the first place.

MON has an 18 month contract and there are 3 possible outcomes.
1. Promotion next season or at least a very near miss.
2. Martin accepts the challenge is too great and quits this summer giing someone else the opportunity to build for next season.
3. Squad is dismantled and rebuilt to Martin’s requirements this summer. Results don’t improve and he is sacked in January. The cylce of failure continues.
I really really want stability. From the evidence I have seen though I am convinced we are plummeting headlong towards option 3.

I still have a view that he’ll jump before he is pushed - and we’ll have another manager in place in the Summer.

Based on what I’ve seen of his nature I find this highly unlikely.

The new owners can not sack Martin and Roy without taking a lot of blame. So far they have been getting it mostly right off the pitch. However they let Karanka bring in too many average or untested players, and they then replaced him with a manager who isn't happy with the squad.
Why was Martin and Roy the right choice in Jan but now in April they are not!? Just because there have been a couple of back to back losses and we weren't able to capitalise when the time came. Surely every manager needs more support than this.
The good will towards this owner will not last forever.

This is all pure madness.
I've had a look at the play-off squad from 2010 and 2011.
The team consisted of a core group that had been with the club for 3 and 4 years or more under two managers.
08 09 10 11 Seasons
Kelvin Wilson 39 38 10 3
Joel Lynch 24 12 15 3
Luke Chambers 40 44 26 49 4
Wes Morgan 37 46 51 51 4
Lewis McGugan 25 36 22 45 4
Nathan Tyson 26 39 40 35 4
Robert Earnshaw 36 37 38 3
Paul Anderson 28 44 39 3
Garath McCleary 3 43 27 22 4
Chris Cohen 40 46 51 47 4
Chris Gunter 8 50 47 3
Guy Moussi 19 28 34 3
Lee Camp 15 49 51 3
Dexter Blackstock 6 45 18 3
The way for this club to succeed is by building a squad over successive seasons with stable management.
Chopping and changing and rebuilding gets us nowhere.
We have a core, the club must continue to build on it.

We have too many players not playing and pissed off. Look at ansfariards twitter pic. The new bomb squad and obviously grabban now in it. I’d be surprised to see him play tomorrow.

I agree, the squad is too big.
That's why we must focus on a core group around which the team can be built.
What is the new bomb squad?
What is up with Grabban?

Voted twist but with a heavy heart.
Now that I’ve had the opportunity to reconsider...
100% twist - no qualms.
Do it - and do it now!

The club are going to have a problem.
it’s always difficult to gauge the true level of support as social media is often different to the vibe you get at games.
However, there appears to at least be a 50/50 split, maybe even a majority that have now decided no matter what, that MON is not the man they want to lead the club.
Such a shame that the goodwill has seemingly gone from the summer due to these events.
The easy decision would be to sack him, the club need to be very brave if they truly do believe he is the answer.

Nothing better than having M o N and R K on the touchline, worth the entrance fee on its own
If you ask me 'who is the manager' he is the guy, isolated on the touchline, losing due to no fault of his own, with few options on the bench and surrounded by 20,000 miserable f***ers
A benchmark for me is Brian Cloughs last season, we usually lost, we usually huffed and puffed, the players usually tried there best, but the backdrop was moaning groaning from the stands, though I don't really remember booing, back then it would be 'we need a 20 goal a season striker', we need a clearout, funny thing is 3 quality signings and a lot of that squad won promotion the next season and finished 3rd in the PL the season after
Anyway the true fans are prepared to suffer as M o N and R K are prepared to suffer, there will be a nucleus of players, hopefully, if they don't all get driven out who are prepared to suffer, I've seen players give there all, battle or try to show some class, I don't think the fans know what supporting a football club is anymore
Don't know what happened with MW or AK, I was eventually prepared to get behind AK as well as all the others, because when I see any guy suffering and looking isolated, then I realise, that is the NFFC manager.
The MW and AK philosophies were diametrically opposed, I think in every way, good and questionable from both. Ultimately it is about rebuilding the club, the squad rebuilding, i am not sure it has really happened, for 25-30 players coming in this is over saturation and probably takes away from building a team spirit, building a team spirit does need lows and soul searching and dressing room bust ups, either we agre going through a meaningful transition and sifting now or some want to start all over again. I think now is perfect timing and the losses now and friction now and seeing peoples true colours now is all good in my book.
We have a some good squad players but collectively like most teams in the championship all are capable of losing 4 or 5 or 6 on the bounce, many have done, now is as good a time to do the soul searching and hit a rock bottom, now is an opportunity, either support your Manager and team to the hilt or go. This is really what a proper rebuilding and galvanising is, trying to get rid of all the dross players and fans. The fans have been stunting players and alienating players and getting good people sacked for years.
Prior to that sending off yesterday we were totally in the game, the game plan was working perfectly, i wonder if the loss was maybe a good thing, lets all pretend M o N and R K aren't going to be good for NFFC, it's a free ticket to get even more deluded.
MoN and RK feed the moaners and groaners, proper fans can't get to many of the games because it is choked out with bodies who have paid £5 and think it gives them a right to disrespect someone who has achieved more in football and management put together
