But all the political parties are the same. They're show up for what they are. Pretenders. They're sewn up at the back. A 2 trillion corporation (GB inc.) and this 'debate' couldn't have been had before the referendum? (Regardless or pro or con) Then you vote on a deal that's agree or get out. Not after the fact. Well planned chaos...I'd say. A shadow of darkness surrounds them all. So virtuous Labour are (get on the cross), did they turn down that 11% pay rise? Or this year's pay rise? While public sector workers have been tightening their belts since at least 2008. And then those expenses. Which I'm sure they don't use...or the 'London' accommodation. Apologies to Duncan for going off topic. *slap my hand. RE: MoN? Stick. And see something out for a change. Judge him on HIS squad, HIS pre-season, HIS-TEAM. This isn't his team at all. And we're 5 points off the play offs despite all Aitor's fine work. SA.

If we’re going to twist I would sooner us do it before the transfer window, otherwise a new manager early next season will be stuck with another managers squad again! Personally if results don’t get any better I think MON will retire.

Personally if results don’t get any better I think MON will retire. This is my main issue and has been all along, this appointment wasn't made with the current squad in mind; the changes he'd make this summer to a squad that was built to play football, he'll demolish it and likely spend a lot of money to do so in order to get a load of athletes (to put it politely) rather than actual technical footballers. We know Marinakis likes his teams to play good football (he's dismissed managers before because of poor style and those managers definitely played a lot nicer stuff than MON!), so it's likely the manager after MON will be a return to the Marinakis MO, a manager who wants his team to retain possession and pass the ball around, something this current squad was just showing signs of being good at only for it to get ripped to shreds yet again. The board should've had a contingency in place for Karanka being sacked or walking to make the transition as seamless as possible for the squad, to keep them playing a similar style, they didn't and that was a major failure.

There's a lot of 'should haves' regarding what the board should have done.
Aitor had a clear history of 'walking out' when the going got tough. 'Red flag.' You buy four relative lightweights to play 'football' in the muck and nettles league. In retrospect. It all seems so quaint. Even I fell for it. They could have appointed another continental manager. Because that worked so well with Montanier and Aitor...neither of whom I could understand post match in their interviews. But hey, it worked for Norwich...but didn't Norwich actually back their man and stick with 'the plan' for more than a season? The could have sacked their manager last season who finished far lower than '7th.' A 'load of athletes' would do just fine. Provided they can 'play a bit.' It worked for Ferguson, it worked for Warnock. Because tippy-tappy football worked so well under Warburton. It was all going so 'great' until it wasn't and the board realised they wanted 'it' 'now.' Make your mind up, hierarchy. Which is it? The only thing 'controversial' is if the hierarchy actually stick with MoN (or any other manager...) for more than a year. SA.

I'm guessing the twist votes are mainly by people who have been watching the S**t served up on the pitch.

Perhaps they are. But they weren't served up much better by Aitor, either.
You can put your pots and your pans, all the queens horses and all the kings men along with all the managers we've had for the last 20 years and put them all in the bloody bin. Because they all served up inferior football on the pitch. The last time I saw (with my very eyes...) Forest play well was when Brian Clough's silver generation blitzed the 'old enemy' 20 chances to nil. Leading the line? Nigel Clough. Forest went 1-0 up. Who equalises? That goal-hanger. Ian Rush. The question I have is, can we measure like for like? Give MoN his team of athletes that can play a bit with a pre-season and a Summer recruitment drive. Let's review it then. Otherwise, we might as well have pointless polls repeating history. Or have Tom Hanks as manager. Maybe it has been Tom Hanks as manager all along. That would explain a lot... SA.

Who are these athletes who can play a bit you keep mentioning?
Are they as " athletic" as Ben Watson ? Can they "play a bit " as well as him ? MON seems to love him. Terrific. The football is dogshite.

Norwich didn’t back their man, they sold Murphy as soon as he arrived and Maddison the following summer. Farke has succeeded in spite of his hierarchy. You can’t demand eight quality signings and point to Norwich as some form of utopia. Farke has turned water into wine. The opposite of what you’re advocating under Martin.

There are a lot of people on this forum who don't live close to Nottingham and plenty who don't even live in the UK. |
