MGW available on Friday - Jesus was a few games away before yesterday so maybe Brentford/City

Shame as I think this would've been a good time to bring him in.

Guess we have to hope for a Delap revenge game vs Ipswich.

I'd play CHO MGW Delap on Friday, thought CHO had a decent impact when he came on.

I'm not disagreeing with you mate. That is what makes it so exciting because if we are low in the league then its a game of Russian roulette with the big man as its then either "Off you pop" or back him to the hilt in the January window but only time will tell  Thumb
He will back him 100%

Good because i personally feel we have a cracking manager. Just needs time

Same, really hope everyone sees that and we ride out these rough fixtures.

How have you decided we have a 'cracking' manager? Is it what he's done with other clubs, or what's he's done with us? If it's the latter then I'm surprised because let's be honest we've seen nothing special from him so far that we haven't seen from coaches who preceded him.

Everyone refers to Glasner as an 'elite' manager. He won't be elite in my eyes until he achieves something and so far that's only a couple of decent performances against Villa and Liverpool. The rest of the games so far this season have been kak.

I'm not suggesting he's sacked or anything silly like that but so far I'm giving the guy just 5 out of 10, which is hardly 'cracking'.

I am not concerned at all.

I think we deserve to have more points on the board than we currently have.

No secret Glasner is a slow starter.

Even Cloughie and Fergie were slow starters.
Panic on the streets of Croydon, Derby, Sheffield, Leicestershire.

I think we are starting to look much better...........Glasner is having his impact. I am sure we will become much stronger in November and December and in the New Year we will only lose very rarely.

This'll probably rile a few up but you'll have probably gathered I'm having problems connecting with the guy! I regularly watch the press conferences on you tube each week but have stopped doing so because I find the guy just so boring to listen to. He takes 15/20 minutes to say what Nuno did in 5. When he started suggesting it was some kind of karma that we didn't win last week at Palace it made me think he just rambles on a lot about complete and utter shite. If I'm thinking that then maybe the players are too? And i'm not sure he has the regard for the club and us fans like other managers have before him. I don't like that either. He walked at Palace and didn't seem to have any regard for them either.

But most importantly, as far as I can see it, he's been handed a side that was performing pretty well at the end of last season, taken it apart and made it less good. I accept we may still be in his 'slow start phase', but calling him some kind of special manager is a bit too much for me, based on what I've seen so far. I have this real worry that he got lucky at Palace with the players that were there when he was (Eze, Lacroix, Mateta Guehi etc), he won the fa cup final by a single goal after Henderson really should have been sent off. And he won the conference league which, for a prem club, was harder not to win than to win it.

Despite the last 2 loses (not including Cov as that was sh*t), I feel more and more confident that Glasner will have us firing soon.

Poor finishing cost us vs Palace, we should have thrashed them, and we more than deserved a point yesterday (missing MGW & they needed the ref's help from kick off).

I think it'll all click into place soon. Hopefully on Friday!!!

Not with us. In my eyes an Elite manager is someone who wins something everywhere they've gone and he has yet to do it here so time will time. At no point do I want him gone because he has been the best of who we've had and need time to get it right and I'm 100% sure he will.

Brendon Rogers won the FA cup. So did Harry Redknapp. Roberto de Matteo won that plus the champions league. Alex McLeish won a league cup. Are all those elite then? Shite managers can still win stuff (not saying Glasner is shite btw).

Poor finishing seems to be the theme of our club since we got promoted. Which is odd as we've had multiple coaches and players. It really is bizarre. None of them could get us playing an expansive game at home and scoring plentiful goals. If Glasner can get this team scoring more then we would really shoot up the table.

Brendan Rodgers was a top quality manager at points in his career, achieved strong results at multiple clubs ans won a lot, maybe elite is a slightly stretch but clearly very competent. Just less good when it came to brining through newer players and being more involved on that side. Redknapp was obviously good too.

Its not just about winning trophies, its the manner and the context. De Matteo (and Tuchel) won trophies with a stacked Chelsea squad with an unlimited budget. Glasner (and Rodgers at Leicester to a point) won trophies despite a much smaller budget, in Glasner's case with his squad regularly getting picked apart and rebuilt and was clearly not backed at all. Not sure you can say yet whether he is elite but at the minimum it's a positive not a negative surely?!
