Whilst it leaves a bit of a sour taste how the club have treated Vitor Pereira, on the face of it Glasner does look like an upgrade. Hopefully the club can match his ambition and he can replicate his past successes.

Best of luck Oliver!

2 sides to the coin.
Vitor hangs around nowhere long, and has been talking to the Saudi’s.

We are not going to have this opportunity very often to invest the likes that we have this summer. Did EM trust Vitor to spend the ££ and stay with us.  100% NO

Glasner is a huge upgrade, and looked unattainable this summer and was on the short lists of Man Utd and Chelsea, whilst also interesting AC Milan.

Glasner stock is very high snd can attract a higher calibre of player.

Vitor was very well remunerated and earner massive bonuses for keeping us up, so everybody has come out of this very well.

I hope we get some official statement particularly one that shows our gratitude to Vitor. He got us out of a sticky situation of the clubs own making. I understand why we've done it, I just don't like the manner it how we've done it

Vitor is an intelligent and dignified gentleman.

I thank him for the job he did.

However once the opportunity presented itself for us to get Glasner it would have been foolish for us to just ignore it.

We couldn't just pass up the opportunity that would have been madness.

Vitor will know that and he will understand it too.

Great signing , despite feeling for Vitor we rode our luck sometimes during the last few games (Sunderland apart ) and when watching the Burnley game after going one down it was only the MGW show that saved us . I think this is a shrewd appointment, one who will develop the team to be competitive with a strong backbone able to be a force in the premiership.

I'm delighted with the appointment and I really think glasner can do something amazing if given the tools and the time. It just annoys me that the optics around the appointment and the dismissal will be so negative for the club. That said, that will all be forgotten particularly if glasner gets us moving up the table and if he wins us silverware (although he also managed CP against Macclesfield this season)

Not officially by the club, but it’s all agreed and he will be the new manager

We are very slow in that department.

Nobody confirmed Carmo departure yet but he has gone for 9M Euros and signed a contract at Olympiakos until 2029.

EM is in Greece today so not in the UK.

Although that shouldn't stop any official confirmation.

Well done to Sniffer who called the likelihood of a change of coach.
Can't say I like the way it was handled and I don't think I am alone in that. Can see the logic in Glasner but will take me a while to get used to the idea. Vitor gained my respect for seeing the obvious on the pitch and tweaking the team accordingly and for making good and logical subs in most cases, and being a good guy who cared and looked after the squad.
Can't say I like some of the sniping Glasner did at his last club towards the end, however on paper he is a higher end manager so I will eventually accept this change.
Have to also throw back the Randall comment from years back about our club aspiring to behave with the dignity of old school Arsenal or something along those lines. We're a long, long way from that in the eyes of ours fans and even further in the eyes of the rest of football, and that I really don't like.
