Should have won that handsomely- let down by poor finishing and poor officiating- 2nd goal was handball and third was a clear foul in the build up. I’m worried by the amount of times midfielders get caught beyond the ball and our finishing was woeful - our service defending is non existent and Sels need replacing as soon as possible - it even put in the Brazilian at this stage. Glasner takes too long to change it- MGW is a mardy bastard and Delap needs shooting for his miss.

Glasner has to decide who his starting back 3 for the season are gonna be what their roles are gonna be and drill them
Do we need Sangare to come in and be that cover for the back 3?
Hand ball changes everything though, what happened to 5 mins of checking all our decisions were over in seconds

I'm not sure that I've ever seen a game like that before. We travelled from brilliant and dominant to pathetic and ridiculous. Tough to take.

Being objective, we created enough chances to have won it in the first half alone. That's not on glasner but on the players. They had 6 gilt aged chances and should have scored at least three before palace scored.
At some point that aspect will come good... You assume.
What worries me is how fragile we are at the back. Today, we looked like we could concede at will. Against a poor Coventry side we were undone by a simple ball over the top. There is a lack of organisation at the back and a lack of leadership on the pitch. Every time we've gone behind in a match we are pretty much done or worse we panic. We might call out their goals and say how unlucky we are but the reality is, it's not been good enough.

Glasner needs to decide what his back 3 is. All this swapping and changing is not good, especially when the 2 wing backs are still learning the role.

I accept Dimoande is new to the league, settling in, new formation, unsettled team ,foreign language and Im not saying he’s crap either. But he really looks to be struggling for me.

Assume Cunha was just not 100% after the international break perhaps? He's been comfortably our best defender so far so we need him back in. Aina made a few mistakes in the second half that were pretty costly.
I thought Schlager was really good first half if that helps?

Still not buying that midfield pairing of Schlager and McAtee, they make it so easy for the opposition to get beyond them.
I’ve said it before, he is the Austrian Simon Gillett.
The missed chance from Delap changed the game, the keeper went down, took the pressure out the game and we didn’t restart with the same impetus.
Lots of missed chances but someone of Delap’s quality should show more composure in that position.

I'm glad that I am not alone Plymouth Red in seeing that we have NO real leaders on the pitch and certainly no captain material, missed the Serb today as was crap at the back and no or little protection from midfield. We seem to have accumulated a number of "fair weather players" as they seem to perform when all is well but disapear when backs to the wall, oh for the second comming of Phyco!

I presume you are referring to the same Psycho we were relegated with in both 93 and 97?
