Did Newcastle hire Nuno as manager?

Another perfect breakaway

You’re not fussed that we lost?

Yes, Yes I am but it could've been worse and got beat by Hull 2-0. Even though we did play some not bad football it was clear we still need 2 or 3 new starters to sign this week.

Last minute penalty gives Liverpool a draw. Can't stand either team.

Its more the quick break rather than the individual, we don’t play the same way now.

It seems ludicrous to have 4 wingers and not utilise any of them, giving that role to 2 very capable full backs who aren’t really suited to flying up the wing. Yes I am going to keep banging on about this.

I think you need to consider that the winger investments are a sunk cost. However, even if we were sticking to the same tactics as under Pereira, we'd still only have one of them on the right with MGW on the left, same as we have now.

Also, if we wanted to improve this year how many of them did you think we should be building a team around? I'd argue if we were still playing wingers we'd need another 3/4!

But you said you were not overly fussed?

And ???

Hull beat Utd 2-0, Brentford beat Spuds 3-0 and Villa got stuffed 4-0 so yes I'm not fussed about getting beat 1-0 by a team that will put up a fight week in week out.

First game of the season with another 37 games to play and people are wetting themselves because we lost 1-0.

Attitudes like that get us relegated, said it in previous seasons when we’ve dropped points against the likes of Sheffield United, Burnley, Luton, etc.

Every game matters, it’s the difference between 18th and 17th.

Qualifying for Europe or not.

It is worth pointing out that glasner's teams often start slowly. The year they won the fa cup I think they barely won a game before October. And while the result wasn't great, the performance was promising but the side lacked a cutting age. I don't foresee a world where we don't strengthen before the end of the window but these players will need time to adapt

You want to write off the wingers? It’s normally me that gets slated for writing players off, all I usually hear is “players need at least 2 seasons to adapt, look at Sangare” we just cant spunk £120 on Ndoye Hutch Kali, and Bakwa and dump every one of them because it doesn’t suit the system we currently play.

Let say we do, then spend another £50m bringing in 2 wingbacks, but we’re 18th in January and EM pulls thr trigger. Then we get the next guy who wants to play 4321 again. Wont happen? This is Nottingham Forest.

Just want Glasner to play to the strengths of what he has now and gradually evolve the system. Vitor was doing just that actually. I don’t think its too much to ask.

Have a day off will you.

We lost the first game of a very long season and my attitude suggests we're getting relegated. Honest to god some people need to get a grip and get back to reality. At what point do any team deserve to be entitled to win every game whether its against a newly promoted team or even one of the top six.

At the end of the day IT'S THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON so get over it.
