Unlikely. Last year's home shirt was out before we announced Bally's.

True. Think the page may have been taken down now. Someone, somewhere has f…… up!

Yeah, pretty sure it’s now 4 out of the 5 seasons since promotion we haven’t had a sponsor in place when the shirts have been announced.

I think the only time we’ve had a sponsor at the start of a season for the kit launch was the Kaiyun one (24/25), and I’m not sure that company even really existed!

Yup.

Season 1 - No sponsor at all until UNHCR halfway through season
Season 2 and 3 - Kaiyun which was at least before the start of the season but was dodgy as anything
Season 4 - Bally's which again I think was before the start of the season
Season 5 - TBC

Is this the first year that the ban on gambling companies as shirt sponsors kicks in?

Yep think so. I'm sure there'll be a lot of middling clubs scratching around for the best deal right until the last minute.  I reckon we'll have been sucking up to Eon.

I think you can still have betting companies on the sleeve and the back though.  It could be that the income received from both of those,  from a betting company,  exceeds the value of the non betting front of shirt.

Already controversy over Aston Villa's new front-of-shirt sponsor Visit Rwanda regarding sportwashing their human rights record.

Even some suggestion that it's upset prospective new signing Johan Manzambi to the point of jeopardising the deal but I think that's unlikelyc.

Yes, no betting companies allowed on front-of-shirt but allowed on sleeves and advertising hoardings. Premier League clubs don't have back-of-shirt sponsors (yet.....).

They were but aren't now, and it was only sleeve rather than front.

Didn’t like the camouflage type background on the shirt, all a bit yoof for me.
