No but it's quite hard to predict - heavy rain in Mexico probably means there is a good chance of lightning. The conditions earlier in the day are nothing out of the ordinary. If we lose it won't be because of that... It will because England have been a bit shite

I'm already fed up of hearing about the altitude.

Nuno da Costa and Ryan mendes up against Messi in a world cup knock out round
Who would have thought it?

It is no excuse.

It's bloody difficult.

I actually think it is unfair and a stadium at sea level should be used instead
Panic on the streets of London

It is unfair but they are one of the hosts so I guess we have no choice here

These also should be elite athletes and an elite conditioning staff that should be able to get them ready for 90mins (minimum…) ?

I do love how people say playing at 7000ft above sea is an excuse, how on earth can you acclimatise when you have never done it?

They flew in from Atlanta. They have no chance to get aclimatized in time unless they have hyperbaric chambers waiting for them. Add to the humidity and the pollution and England are f****d. Low block the f**k out of the Mexicans and hit on the break Forest style. Probably the best chance. I have been to Mexico City and played a pick up game. At the time I considered myself very fit. I was knackered after 20 minutes. The air is pretty dirty too. Love the city. Love the people. Not condusive to playing a competitive football team at short notice. Even the Equadorians struggled and they are from a high elevation country but had been running around the states I believe which is much lower.

As for the VAR stuff. Croatia were robbed. The player didn't affect the trajectory of the ball and it came of a portogeezer and Kane was 1000% fouled for a penalty against the Congo as the goalkeeper raised his arm up and caught Kane. Harry knew what he was doing but stonewall.

I tried to get tickets for the game in Mexico. 5k a seat. Would have had to take wifey. insane prices. FIFA are crooks. Wouldn't surprise me if the Cartel bought them all up either. My Mexican friends who do alright for themselves couldn't believe how much it was. Fan zones would have been ace too but wifey didn't want to fly down just for the fanzone experience in Mexico City. I personally would have loved it but alas the missus is a bit of a killjoy yet strangely would have gone to the game at the Azteca. Anyone got a spare 15K. Sniff get on the blower to EM. As a Forest fan all my life wouldn't he want me to be happy?

Chicago: Striking out.
