Vitor Pereira - Our Manager
We're a circus, we really are. This is no way to run a premier league football club.

It's gonna be a hell of a lot of work for someone who doesn't know the squad to come in, assess everything, have a say in key signings, try and convince the likes of MGW (who arguably played his best ever football under VP), Neco etc. that they should stick around. If they were gonna get rid it should've been done a month ago, not two weeks before pre-season.

The more I think about this, the more pissed off I’m getting.

If we roll the dice again, it’s 5 managers in less than 12 months.

After the mess that was last season, and 3 relegation fights in 4 seasons, we needed a stable summer. And by the looks of it, not only do we need to replace our best player, we will need a new head coach and coaching staff.

That weird announcement a week or so ago that the club and Pereira would talk about a new contract in a few months was very weird and we probably should have seen it as more of a red flag at the time.

Sound weird given the constant news cycle about players and managers, but my main feeling about this is boredom. I wish sometimes we could be normal and stable

Is anyone genuinely surprised?

Totally agree. New coach, new staff, and the loss of a top top player is a potentially fatal set of circumstances.

We just needed a season of consolidation this year. No major churn, just get over the loss of Anderson, get a new director of football in and prepare for a push maybe next summer when everyone's settled.

I wonder if that was more from Pereira’s team to force the club to commit longer term

Yes, maybe. Pereira might have seen this coming. Wasn't there talk about him going back to Saudi or something too.

It's all very weird.

According to FB if Vitor goes it's not because EM wants him to. Seems he has a few offers to choose from.

I was. It all seemed like both sides were in agreement over the 12 month situation (bit like a rolling contract I guess)? Nothing is ever that simple at NFFC...

I did mention it 3 times.

How many hints do you need!
