Had my doubts when his name first came out.

Must say I’m really, truly happy he’s our manager and he’s had a massive 4 days.

Vitor is an ex school teacher an educated and very intelligent man with great social skills and he knows how to treat people properly and with respect.

He looked very emotional yesterday during his fist pumps and you could clearly see what it meant to him.

I am delighted for him.

Hard not to think we wouldn't have got more out of some of the squad if we'd have Vitor early on in the season.

People critisise Dyche for that but those players absolutely deserved to be criticised at the time. They put in a woeful performance at Wrexham which was simply not acceptable. They were given the run-around by a Championship side. We only gained some respectability back when the big guns came on and got us back into the game. No way did they deserve a Cooper/Nuno/Pereira arm around the shoulder. They needed a kick up the arse, which it sounds like they got.

That's not good management though. Good management is knowing who to kick up the arse and whose shoulder to put your arm round.

Yes, im sure that's right. But who who can say on that night which approach was the correct one? Imo the players needed a kicking. We, the fan base, were absolutely livid at the time. It was the second time this season that rhe B team had been beaten by a championship side, not to mention all the other woeful performances it had put in in europe.

It's a circle.

The players wouldn't need a kicking if the coaching staff had done their job properly in the first place.

I don't see Vitor needing to kick anyone.

This is always my view, you can be negative in private as much as you want but keep it private. Not going to earn people's respect by calling them out in public.

No such thing as one size fits all in management, judging by the antics of some of the current coaching staff I suspect some shouting and yelling still goes on.
Not defending Dyche but whatever you think of him he isnt stupid enough to treat everyone like an army sergeant major. Likewise as Pap says some definitely do need a kick up the backside every now and again, as we know our owner isnt shy of doing that himself if necessary.

Vitor's major plus point for me is his willingness to try different things and adapt to situations which Dyche was unwilling to do, that's what cost him his job.

Yep, if he see's that something's not working he changes it. It's very refreshing.
