Vitor Pereira - Our Manager

Igor Tudor s also suffering at Spuds.  Nuno struggled at Wet Sham in the initial period of time.

Its not bad management, its a case of finding out fast who is capable and the best formation. The first games in charge are in effect your pre=season look at people.

It was always going to be tough changing manager again however it was the right thing to do as we were getting worse and worse under Dyche. Had we stayed with Dyche we would for sure be going down.

The Europa lLeague is killing us, had Dyche not screwed that up we would not have had those 2 extra games and might have beaten Liverpool and Brighton. Look at what its doing to Aston Villa lately and they did not have the 2 extra games we had.

The EL league being Thursday is bad........the players are tired on the following Sunday at this stage of the season.

Whilst EM takes the blame for Ange and the 1st half of the season..........Dyche takes the blame for the current situaion.

Both involved tonight through choice so looks like you were way off the mark?

The only stat that matters.

I mean he had a tough slate of games to come in to given Dyche wasted the Palace, Wolves, Leeds games.

How many wins were you expecting from those six games?

All the games are tough.

Wolves have had a great run of results of late. Leeds have picked up (I think) 28 points at home.

I expect us to keep putting points on the board, the odd one here and there at the very least, we’ve picked up one point in the league since Vitor took charge but, hey, at least people are entertained.

The players may like him better but Ive seen nothing to suggest we are more likely to stay up under this bloke. Not saying its his fault particularly, just the state we are in.

Not all the players like him but things will only come out when he inevitably leaves as one of the reasons why he’s been let go.

The results are clearly his responsibility, as they were under Dyche, as they were under Ange, as they were under Nuno.

He's only had three games and one was away at Man City!

I don't have any strong feelings about Vitor but I don't see the point of slagging him off already just because the previously equally underachieving manager is gone. I didn't particularly see the point of sacking Dyche but I also certainly don't feel confident we'd have stayed up under him either.

No different except we have a loony set-piece coach jumping around all game.

Leeds aside

A red card but still got a point, suffered from professional striker not being able to score tap ins but got a point Vs a wolves side beating teams far higher. There's a pattern a picking up points even when fans think it's S**t.

Now it's prettier but no points.

Has to change Sunday, if it does then trust me we'll all be happy. This season needs to end with us 17th by any means and if that means reverting to the worst football I've ever seen it matters not.

None of this mess is on Vitor. He is merely attempting to clean up a huge pile that he did not make. Let's face it, once you get to gaffer #4 in a single season, you are basically in unnavigated waters.

Yep. Now isnt the ideal time for the manager to have to learn that Murillo can’t play LB or for the team to learn a new formation. Weve dug this hole ourselves.
I don’t believe Vitor is any sort of longer term solution but he was the only hope we had (other than sticking with Dyche which is a different argument). We need to back him now and If he gets us out of it he deserves huge credit.

Credit to Vitor for the first half formation, helped keep it tight.
Then was able to change in the 2nd for a more spirited display and a goal that on another day would have stuck.
Must say, when he took MGW off, the spirited attacking play pretty much ended.

That said, we were more combative and won more aerially in midfield which lead to Taiwo chances.
