The issue with Edu, is he in or out? or just stay away? No clarification from the club on this just sums up the mess of a season this continues to be, who is the clubs mouth piece on such matters, is it Randall if not who?

When you see a press article stating “sources within Forest” thats often Randall. As for Edu I think he might have helped his cause if he had done some sort of interview explaining his role and what his vision was. We haven’t heard a solitary word from him and it’s difficult to point to a single positive thing that he has achieved

The way football is these days is that the coaches do all the talking and the press pr work but the real power lies with these 'Directors of Football' who are choosing the coaches and signing the players and setting the environment in which the players and coaches perform. Its the same now at every club, not just ours. I think it's time these people became more accountable and the fans knew a bit more about what decisions they were making so they can hold them accountable. But that'll never happen because the clubs are just happy for the coaches to be expendable fall guys who get sacked every couple of years.

Not defending Edu but he had no chance.
Instructions: Get us ready to compete on two fronts. Bring in young players with a strong resale value. Two different and competing strategies. Then throw the owner with his own ideas and whims because it's his own money. Then there's the CEO, Sporting Director, Director of Football, Director of football operations and Recruitment Director... He will not be able to make his own decisions, so what's the point of him being there?

Should he not have pushed back and pointed out that young players wont be ready to just drop in? He has a voice. If he said that and it was ignored then he should have simply resigned.

Supporter Trust survey results. I hope they are considered very carefully by the finance and commercial departments.

Beat me to it SR, glad the club have listened to feedback, fair play to the supporters Trust too who I have sometimes criticised but they have definitely helped get the message across.
Importantly too: “With this in mind, the Club is also pleased to reintroduce the ‘Young Adult’ price category for next season. This means more affordable prices for Season Card Holders aged between 18-21-years-old, with around 1,300 supporters set to benefit and save up to £340 compared to Adult Season Cards.” |
