No matter how good Ortega is, he's not played for a while so is bound to be rusty. And we'll have Aina now moved across and playing left back, with either Savona at right back, or a new signing playing left back. So two of our back 5 are going to be potentially problematic.

And then add on CHO's injury and suddenly we look like a side that's been patched up. Not ideal.

I'd start Gunn on Friday. Did nothing wrong yesterday.

Agreed.

Well that's because Palace didn't have a shot on target when he was on!

Yes, I am with wassy.

Gunn had nothing to do at all and wasn't tested at all.

Be different on Friday night in a difficult atmosphere at Leeds.

I would start Ortega.

I wouldn't start a player (Gunn) who indicated that he wanted to leave the club not long ago.

He did nothing though really did he?. Unbelievable that Palace didn't have a single shot for him to save. His kicking was ok though and he threw himself on a couple low crosses so no criticism from me, but I don't think we can judge him on his performance.

I don't think Gunn will start. I have no issue with it though either way. Obviously Ortega is a very experienced keeper.

I imagine a decision on which goal keeper won't be made until Thursday or Friday. How they train this week is going to be important.

Actually thought Gunn was very good. Had a presence from corners and di have a decent low cross save. Kicking decent too. Seemed composed. Ortega I’m reliably informed is very decent though

Not doing anything wrong isn’t a reason to persist with a goalkeeper, didn’t we learn that with John Victor?
Ortega starts every time for me.

Any news on Wood? Any chance of him getting 5 or 6 games?

Yes i am clutching at straws.

I was just saying the same thing.

Getting Wood back is vital for our chances of staying up.

Thing is even if he comes back can he hit the ground running?

No chance Sniffer, it would be expecting to much from Woody to rescue our season now its up to the players put out on the pitch by the coach.

Where was Awoniyi? Seriously think he’d be a viable option for us given we play on the floor more. His pace and power in those through balls.
