Sunday fly to a foreign country
Monday start new job, do media stuff, training session with a load of demoralised players
Tuesday fly to Istanbul
Thursday Europa league against your old club
Friday fly back to UK, think about where you’re going to live
Sunday home debut against the league champions

Somehow in that time he’s got to do some background on our squad, what he has to work with, look at the opponents and come up with a game plan. Fair play to him if we can get something out of the next games

There arent a load of demoralised players !
They just weren’t having Dyche
The coffee club is still in situ and as happy as ever !

If you say so fine. But Im getting sick and tired of hearing that the players aren’t having manager x. At some point they need to show that they aren’t overpriced overpaid prima donnas.

True SM.

It makes you wonder...

Should the players have more input when it comes to hiring a Coach?

The players themselves can’t keep making excuses but it’s not their job to define tactics either. Nor should it be and if a player prefers a different style then they should never have been brought here regardless.

Some of our squad need to realise they aren’t gods gift and they are in the toughest league in the world and to succeed they need to grow a pair. Yes I’m looking at you Dan Ndoye.

Absolutely SM.

My thoughts are though that it isn’t hopefully as big of an ask this week as we might fear. On the face of it the team pretty much picks itself. It’s more any philosophy or direction that he needs to get across and if that is a more progressive style where players like ando, mgw etc can thrive/want then we might see it land quite quickly.

Why have they got 4 days off? A reward for failure in the FA Cup is 4 days off?

Cos they’ve been flogged by Dyche for 4 months.
What  you forget JG is most of these lads are seasoned pro’s, they have played under different coaches at different clubs, so know when things aren’t right.

1) heavy loaded sessions 48 hrs before a game, when in a loaded campaign. That’s not normal. Normally the last heavy session would be MD-3

2) There was no prep on either attacking or defending set pieces

3) players didn’t understand how they were supposed to press teams

4) his treatment of some players really pissed a lot of the others off.

There is a lot more, but I’ll leave it there

Thank you so much for this.

More please Reds.

Nothing too heavy of course, but these insights are fascinating and just further makes me feel completely relieved with the decision we made to replace him.

Did Murillo get injured doing one of those stupid running drills one day before the Leeds game reds?
