What I liked was that when LiVARpool sent on another forward and we were winning 2-0, Dyche didn't send on Morato to shore things up, he sent on Omari, an attacking winger. So where is this defensive Dycheball.

I can see why the ref would disallow it in real time, VAR should have overruled though.

Having said that I am in favour of a stronger “referee’s call” version of VAR than we have now. That would particularly apply to the marginal offside calls that seems to happen every game. Let the officials on the day decide, then the mistakes mostly even out rather than spending 5 minutes where nobody in the ground has a clue what’s happening.
Only absolutely blatant errors get overturned, in that situation you would argue that Igor’s handball probably is disallowed because its not 100% obvious and therefore original decision stands right or wrong. Current rules the goal should have been given. Likewise Murillo’s goal is given with no endless debate, again current rules are so ambiguous you could argue either way on it.

I think I'll take the 3 nill on this occasion but you are right. I was just talking to a mate and as positive as things seem right now we are going to need goals from Jesus or Wood soon. I hope he bags soon to go on a run but that's no reflection of his contribution. The chances have dried up a bit for him though.

Yes mate I'm buzzing at the moment. Jesus has been brilliant. To be clear what I'm saying is it's a shame he was hard done by with the goal because he deserves it and we will benefit from him having confidence.

It was the use of the words “we need” that suggested otherwise. 

Btw despite Wood’s drop in xG this season, his goals per minutes is actually quite reasonable and broadly where you would expect him to be.

I'm not interested in Woods stats so far this season, I'm interested on what he does when he comes back. One of our greatest ever goalscorers.

That wasn't the reason they gave a handball.

Are you so sure Wassy? As I recall the goal was disallowed for handball by IJ following Liverpool defenders claiming so at the time.

It did look that way didn't it!! We will have to see what was said between the ref and lino.

They don't make decisions based on how much one team complains despite how it looks. They just made a bad decision based on what they saw, which tbf on the real-time view looked like a handball until you saw the replay and then it looked like it missed his arm, bit of an optical illusion. VAR obviously should've just overruled it.

Presumably lino gave it then, makes it all the more surprising that VAR didn't overturn it if the ref didn't have a clear view anyway.
