Not sure whether this will be the overriding view but I'd sign. I don't think we can get a player this good otherwise and we do have plenty of other players in that position right now that can cover. Particularly if we're struggling to keep Anderson this summer and we go down a similar route this summer of a young replacement for him.

Forest cannot challenge the Top 6 with part timers that cost what he does.

At the wages he's on, he's got to be a lynchpin like MGW that can play in almost all the games. Early indications are that that he's not capable of that, perhaps if he can build his fitness up he can get there, but I wouldn't be gambling on it with the finances involved. I wonder if Villa knew of his issues and made a shrewd choice over his exit.

Tend to agree with this. If he can manage say 60 mins/ game for 20 games in a season then we aren’t going to get better than him without a big spend.
The worry is that he manages 5 games and breaks down and we are paying a big fee plus £100+ per week on a crock.

It is slightly cheaper than £30m. £21.5m is the fee.
