Not sure how anyone can judge the recruitment when we've barely seen a lot of the players actually play.

100% way too early, the only thing you can criticise is the lack of full back depth perhaps but hard to anticipate Aina would go down 3 days after the window closes.

I don’t see it quite as bluntly as TPT and I do think we needed a fairly significant rebuild but my opinion we have unsettled the squad. Already seen rumours that both McAtee and Gunn want away in January, doubt Hutchinson is too happy right now.
We clearly need to strengthen full back and centre back still despite all the incomings.

We definitely could do with getting McAtee involved more, I wonder what he was told before signing. Doesn't really seem like a Dyche player though.

We’re stuck in a rut. The players looked flat today against Bournemouth, they were sharp and over us from the start.

I thought the idea behind the spending was rotation to cope with the fixture schedule, but it seems we’re stuck picking our ‘best 11’ every time desperate for that much-needed win.

Or are the summer signings (I’m thinking particularly Kalimuendo, McAtee, Hutchinson) not looking good in training?

Omari, Bakwa, McAtee, Cunha, Jesus, Kalimuendo and Savona are all very young and are investments for the future. Nobody said that they would go straight into the team and be first choice starters.

The concerning thing is that up to yesterday, with the exception of possibly Jesus and an ever improving but initially poor Savona, NONE of the new recruits have had much of an impact. When these lads are costing £30m+ each that's a concern.

Inflation mate. Paying 30m for a squad player is like paying 3m for squad player 10 years ago. Times are moving on. Good young talent, if it was 60 to 100m like your seskos and isak id agree. I expect bakwa and cunha to become quality additions. Kali will be moved on as he doesnt suit dyche style football. Roma want him, wouldn't be surprised to see a Dvyobk swap. And I think jesus will end up at olympiakos next year. Unless he adds premiership gpals to his name. Good against European defenders. Not so much in this league

Jesus maybe isn't quite there physically to be great in the PL but for a first season in England after having to play in the CWC too, I think he's doing really well. Feels like an excellent option to have in the squad, no way we'd be looking to move him on.

I fear for Kali though, based on how poor he's looked it feels like he's going to struggle for minutes barring more injuries and he appears to be 4th in the queue behind Taiwo. Maybe get some minutes off the bench in the EL but that's it. Frustrating really though, as while he's not looked good, it's early on and he obviously came in with a good CV. I wouldn't want to see any of them moved on personally, would prefer to give them time to settle in the UK and hopefully improve in time.

I agree, the issue this year has been the injuries to Luiz, Aina and Wood. Plus, the difficulty in finding someone to replace what Elanga provided in attack. Then you add in the managerial chaos.

Historically its often been the 2nd season in England where players step up as the PL is so different to other leagues and just other factors around settling in. We're in a good spot to provide more minutes due to the EL too. (Shame whoever signed off Hutch not being in the EL squad though!)

The good thing is that I think the EL squad can be changed if we get through to the next stage.
