It'll be nice to have a manager that the press love to deal with for positive reasons rather than the entirely negative aurora that surrounded Ange. The press love Dyche.

These are not my words but it is interesting:
Sean Dyche, Everton's manager since January 30, 2023, faced significant challenges when appointed, inheriting a team second-bottom in the league and financially strained. Despite initial difficulties, Dyche has led Everton to three successive wins, marking a turnaround in form, with 22 points from the last 11 league games. Dyche is seen as a cultural fit for Everton, emphasizing hard work, high standards, and a demanding attitude, mirroring his time under Brian Clough at Nottingham Forest. The team has undergone a significant transformation under Dyche's leadership, with a focus on fitness and organization evident in a grueling pre-season and specific tactical approaches. Everton's style of play is characterized by direct speed in attack, combative midfield play, low possession percentages, and effectiveness in attacking set pieces. Defensively, Everton has performed well, with robust statistics excluding penalties and a solid expected-goals-against record. Dyche's influence extends beyond the field, with attention to player well-being, development, and a holistic approach to management. The squad's unity and camaraderie have improved, with key players like Abdoulaye Doucoure thriving under Dyche's management. The manager emphasizes a clear communication style, simplicity in tactics, and a focus on unity, with a positive impact on morale and team spirit. Dyche's notable achievements at Everton include instilling pride and belief among supporters, marking a significant shift from previous seasons.

I think that's all he needs to do and let the attacking players who are all good players to their thing. OK they'll need to have a couple instructions but generally let them rip into teams like Cloughie did with his Forest. Keep the ball on the ground, Pass to a player in a red shirt (preferably a Forest shirt) Keeper catch the ball, Defence defend, Midfield the engine department and strikers score. Simples ain't it . Oh, didn't see this & I've said virtually the same thing lol. Still, good to know some of us are on the same page & will get behind our Sean :CUP: Some 'fans' on X are seething, it's hilarious :Up Yours:

Dyche worked miracles at Everton under massive pressure. Him keeping them up despite that points deduction was genius. He lost hai way at the end there but that was probably because he'd spent the previous 2 years fire fighting and he ran out of motivational power.

Fast counter attacking style has NFFC finger prints all over it Im behind him and hope we now have a good season and win a cup. Then we can reset in the summer if need be. PS does the system work when we have players capable of more possession? Could be interesting if we can adapt beyond the lower-half-team principles.

Can understand people being underwhelmed with Dyche but I hope those that aren’t prepared to give him a chance stay away from the ground. I get the sense the vast majority are on board, Im well up for Thursday now myself.

Also we often talk about players hitting the ground running.
Same applies for managers. He’s almost got a season ticket here this season so if anyone knows the players, he does. And I suspect they’ve been planning their approach to the team for a couple of weeks now, if not longer.

I was anti-ange day 1, bad decision all round ( don't care who is too blame as its done now so move on ) and would have preferred Silva of course but if anyone is going to turn this shit show of a season round and get the troops rallied it will be Dyche. Survial is our only target now imho there has just been too much off the field distraction to expect anything else. I really hope our owner is more realistic for this season at least. Steve Stone has been training in my local gym I very much doubt he will need to now :)

Its going to be good to be hard to beat again, nikola back to his best. Also if you look at Everton attack last year. Broja, beto, DCL, ours is a massive upgrade. Infact we are all over the pitch, i feel sean will get us up to mid table at least. And get us going in europa

It's a shit show of a season. I'm not excited by this appointment but if he keeps us up and actually gets us to keep a clean sheet then that will be one thing.
I have no idea what the decision making process is anymore. Hopefully this will work. That's about it.

All for dyche for short term, bit ornstein says we have offered him a long term deal, stupid from everyone at the club. More compo to be paid out

Can only hope that we've got a manageable compensation package / break clause for next summer when we revisit things. We know we need to sell in the summer - absolutely imperative we stay up to get the full £££ value for Ando, Murillo et al. |
