Persuading Silva to join now in mid season is the problem.
He needs to come out and say to EM yes I want the job and I want it now.
But he hasn't done that (yet).
Percy has confirmed its dyche. Its advanced and probably announced today, we didn't want to pay 8m for someone out of contract in the summer thats the issue

All Edus fault?
I have no idea Sniff. But I do know that if Edu hadn't shown up, Nuno would still be with us. And Ross Wilson would probably still be with us too.
I dont 'hate' Edu, I just think that his work for us, not Arsenal, so far appears to have been a shambles. From my perspective. Maybe he has overseen some good stuff, I dunno. I haven't seen any.
And if Dyche is appointed today, its hardly going to be considered a piece of football genius getting him here is it?

I am actually quite excited to see what Dyche, Woan, Stone can do a lot more positive than when Ange was appointed. This will be the best squad he’s ever had to work with, so bring it on

Edu is a bit of a convenient scapegoat and whatever the rights and wrongs him showing up was where things turned. As a head of global football, pivoting from Nuno to Ange to Dyche doesn’t exactly spell strategy either.
It doesn’t help that Edu is anonymous which adds to the conspiracy, I didn’t like the piece thats just come out saying that TNT asked him to do the media on Saturday and he didn’t have the balls to do it. I reckon that’s his job, not Yates.
Anyway, still disappointed and angry its come to this and the opportunity thats needlessly been tossed away, people can blame whoever they like, but we are where we are.
Season starts on Thursday and Im 100% behind Dyche.

We would have paid it mate.
But he doesn't want to come mid season.
If Siva had said yes I am ready lets do this then the compo would have been paid. Do you think we don't have 8M? Plus we can make a sale in January if needs be.
Of course we could and would have paid it.
But Silva has got to say that he wants the job but he hasn't.

Ross Wilson to Newcastle has been on the cards long before Edu came in Pap.

Me too.
Sometimes a manager just fits.
To me it feels like a good fit but the proof will be in the pudding.
Some will point to his win percentage and say it is poor but would Pep and Arteta etc have such a good win percentage if they had been in charge of Burnley for 12 years?
Also at Everton if I remember well he couldn't sign any players (not sure) and he had to put up with the worst off field problems in the clubs history.
So I think he deserves a chance with a good squad of players and with a club he has a strong affection for.

And problems with Nuno before Edu came in too.
But we will blame Edu anyway :Funny:

Personally I'd like Silva but getting Dyche in to make our defence solid again and annoying the s**t out of teams is an exciting prospect. I think that's all he needs to do and let the attacking players who are all good players to their thing. OK they'll need to have a couple instructions but generally let them rip into teams like Cloughie did with his Forest. Keep the ball on the ground, Pass to a player in a red shirt (preferably a Forest shirt) Keeper catch the ball, Defence defend, Midfield the engine department and strikers score. Simples ain't it .
