I doubt this has anything to do with agents. Think what you want about EM but he's no fool and I doubt he's letting agents dictate.

EM aligned himself to Kia through Edu and subsequent recruitment. Silva, like Nuno is a Medes client. There is no chance of Silva in my opinion. I'll stick 50 quid on him being next manager then haha

So is it close. Everywhere else states the issue is the contract length and financial protection in case of dismissal.

Well if we survive I just have to suck up dull football or the rest of the season. Staying up is more important than anything else right now.

I think that is the key thing fans now need to remember. If it is to be Dyche hopefully fans will get behind him and accept that dull football may have to be the way. That said, I don’t think he’s ever had a squad of players like the one at Forest so who knows, he might be able to bring organisation, structure and grit to the team and with our wingers and forward players, a little bit of flair. The negotiation bottleneck was therefore always going to be the severance terms. Even if Dyche came in, steadied the boat and then won the Europa League, can anyone see him being rewarded with masterminding a Champions League campaign when it would be the perfect package to entice an even better pedigree of manager than Silva? I know which direction I’d bet on EM taking.

Don’t think Mancini is a goer anyway but just seen this.
https://x.com/5livesport/status/19799098...xJ7BGfyX7A Doesn’t strike me they are being disrespectful or giving it the usual media Forest is a madhouse, just a genuine appraisal of what Mancini is like. Its a no from me. On the positive side if we can land either of Silva (ideally) or Dyche I would be far more optimistic about the season ahead. |
