Next Manager The Runners & Riders
Silva makes the most sense especially if that is who we have had our eye on for next Summer. Interims are just too risky. Pick the man you want and give him a contract. Needs to be someone that you would also keep to get you back up if it all goes wrong. That’s Silva - done it with Fulham.

But it’s Forest - sometimes what we do doesn’t make sense

We did.

But he wasn't willing to leave Fulham then.

Is he now willing?

We will find out very soon.

Of all the names being touted, obviously I hope it’s Silva.
Dyche can steady the ship, but not what we need longer term.
So appoint a manager who can do both, unite the fans, the players and the club.
Especially if we’ve still got a chance of European success.

I really hope we pull this one off. Full charm offensive to get us out of the big mess we find ourselves in.

Im interested to know what the timescale is for short, medium and long-term. It's pretty short it professional football anyway and even shorter under Marinakis.

You have to plan for the long term in football but the chances of getting there are slim.

Dunno who it's gonna be but I know it should be Syrianos picking them, only bloke at the top of the club who has a clue what he's doing.

Leaking Silva to get the true candidate to sign the deal?

Feels unlikely Silva would want to leave mid season but I'm glad we're having a go. 8m release clause is definitely worth paying, plus paying that would hopefully give him extra reason to not make another change if things don't turn around fast.

I was thinking too the fact that we haven't appointed Dyche yet means we must be making a play for Silva.

Is Dyche willing to take a short term contract till the end of the season?

Gotta be Silva for me. It shuts the media up in thinking we are unable to entice a quality manager in and he's an upgrade on Dyche.

Not unless we pay him a £7m survival bonus.

A short term/interim appointment is a recipe for disaster regardless.

Silva will be promised funds in January for new players. Ball will be in his court.

Tomorrow we find out.

I’d be mega surprised if it’s silva. The huge issue here is the two super agents. Mendes v Kia. EM aligned himself to Kia through Edu and subsequent recruitment. Silva, like Nuno is a Medes client. There is no chance of Silva in my opinion.
