Was he signed as a number 2?
I always thought he was signed as the direct replacement for Hennessy as 3rd choice.

Gunn pulled off a great save near the end. The greek keeper, lets just say he made Vlach look good!

Darlow, Spence, Anderson, Williams, Johnson all playing, MGW on the bench. When he signed for Leeds he wasn’t guaranteed to be number one there, Perri started the first three games and is expected to get straight back in one fit. It just would have made a shit ton of common sense with the homegrown rule and I expect he would have snapped it up at the time with us competing on four fronts and in Europe compared to a team expected to be battling relegation with a manager tipped to not last the season.

Must be quite odd when its his only experience of first team football, can’t imagine Scotland are delighted about the situation. Not saying Forest doing anything wrong just cant be great being 1st pick for country and 3rd pick for club. Have we treated him badly?

I suppose it depends what we agreed in the discussions. Maybe he wanted to come as a 3. I find it unlikely though.
We do have a pattern of signing people that never get used and/or loaned out and while I agree it definitely isn't a Trafford situation I do think a lot of these players sign with a different outcome expected on their part.

Read an interview with Gunn saying he expected to be used in cup games and that he might look for options in January. Not blaming him or us, his lifelong dream will be to play at the world cup, can’t expect the bloke to pass that up to sit here as a No3.

I read the same interview.
We’ve only had one domestic cup game since he’s been here, and John played well. Surely he couldn’t have expected to feature in the European games?
